Summary

This 2025 Land Cruiser VX represents a significant evolution in the GCC market, combining the legendary reliability of the LC300 platform with an advanced 3.5-litre hybrid system. The black exterior is a premier resale choice in the region, holding value exceptionally well against competitors. As a GCC-spec model, it is purpose-built to handle extreme heat and long-distance desert travel while offering a smoother, more efficient commute in heavy city traffic. For buyers who demand a prestige 7-seater that doesn't compromise on durability, this hybrid-powered VX is the most strategic modern choice currently available.

This Car vs Other 2025 Land Cruisers

With delivery-mileage and showroom-fresh condition, this 2025 model offers the benefit of the latest hybrid technology not found on earlier LC300 production runs. The black exterior is one of the top three strongest colors for resale in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, second only to white. This specific unit carries the highly desirable GCC regional specification, ensuring full warranty support and cooling systems optimized for the local environment.

VX vs Lower Trims

The VX trim serves as a significant luxury step up from the GXR, adding a premium 12.3-inch multimedia display and ventilated front seating as standard. It bridges the gap between the workhorse GX and the flagship VXR by including advanced driver assistance systems and improved cabin insulation. You also get a sophisticated Multi-Terrain Select system and a 360-degree camera suite, which are often optional or simplified on lower specifications.

Land Cruiser vs Segment Rivals

The Land Cruiser maintains its lead over rivals like the Nissan Patrol and Ford Expedition through its unmatched mechanical durability and superior resale value in the GCC. While competitors focus on road-biased comfort, the Land Cruiser's body-on-frame construction and twin-turbo hybrid torque offer better low-speed control for weekend desert driving. The generous 98-litre fuel tank ensures significantly more range between emirates compared to smaller-capacity SUVs in this segment.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel efficiency for the 3.5L hybrid powertrain is approximately 8.9 to 10.9 L/100km, offering a massive improvement over previous V8 models in stop-start traffic. Service intervals typically occur every 10,000 km, supported by the most extensive authorized service network in the Middle East, spanning the UAE, KSA, and beyond. This model historically enjoys the lowest depreciation rate of any large SUV in the region, typically retaining over 85% of its value after the first three years.

Performance & Capability

The twin-turbo 3.5-litre V6 engine paired with electric assistance produces 409 hp and instant torque, making highway overtaking effortless even with seven passengers. A full-time all-wheel-drive system with a locking center differential remains standard, preserving the off-road heritage the nameplate is famous for. For towing duties, this configuration is rated at 2,722 kg (6,000 lbs), making it ideal for hauling boats or trailers across the Emirates.

Comfort & Cabin

The 7-seat cabin is designed for the GCC summer, featuring a high-output air conditioning system and ventilated front seats that provide immediate relief from the heat. The layout includes a genuinely usable third row that now folds flat into the floor, a major improvement for cargo versatility. Modern tech highlights include wireless smartphone integration and a refrigerated center console box, essential for keeping drinks cold during long desert highway drives.

Safety

The VX trim comes standard with Toyota’s full ADAS suite, including Pre-Collision System with pedestrian detection and Lane Departure Alert, which are critical for fast-moving highway traffic. The 360-degree camera and blind-spot monitoring provide excellent visibility for such a large vehicle, while multiple airbags ensure maximum protection for all three rows. Adaptive Cruise Control is also included, making cross-border journeys significantly less fatiguing.

The bottom line

This 2025 Land Cruiser VX Hybrid is the perfect match for a family or executive buyer who wants the latest fuel-efficient technology without sacrificing the legendary 'go-anywhere' durability of a GCC-spec Toyota.
