Summary

This 2025 Land Cruiser GXR is a standout opportunity in the GCC market, offering the ideal balance of the new 3.5L twin-turbo V6 power and Toyota's legendary durability. In the Gulf, white is the premier choice for heat management and commands the highest resale value, making this a safe long-term investment. As a GCC-spec model, it is purpose-built to handle the region's extreme summer temperatures while providing seamless access to the most extensive service network in the Middle East. Whether you are navigating heavy city traffic in Riyadh or cruising between emirates, this SUV remains the definitive benchmark for reliability and regional prestige.

This Car vs Other 2025 Land Cruisers

With typical GCC annual use often exceeding 20,000 km, a current model-year Land Cruiser offers a significant mechanical advantage and years of peak performance ahead. The white exterior is the most sought-after color across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, ensuring it stays at the top of the list for future buyers. This specific unit benefits from the latest GA-F platform improvements, offering a more composed highway ride than older generations.

GXR vs Lower Trims

The GXR trim is the high-value sweet spot in the Land Cruiser range, adding essential GCC luxuries that the base GX lacks. You get a larger 12.3-inch multimedia display, ventilated front seats which are vital for the local summer, and wireless smartphone connectivity. It also steps up to larger alloy wheels and premium interior materials that better reflect the vehicle's status on GCC roads.

Land Cruiser vs Segment Rivals

While the Nissan Patrol remains its closest rival, the Land Cruiser leads with its massive 110-litre fuel tank, providing superior range for long-distance desert crossings or highway trips between GCC borders. Its 3.5L twin-turbo engine offers a more modern, efficient power delivery compared to the Patrol's aging V8. Additionally, Toyota’s resale value in the GCC used market continues to outperform competitors like the Land Rover Defender or Chevrolet Tahoe.

Running Costs & Resale

The twin-turbo V6 delivers a significant 13% improvement in fuel efficiency over the previous V8, with real-world GCC consumption averaging around 12.5L/100km on highways. Service intervals are typically every 10,000 km, supported by the most comprehensive authorized service network spanning from Muscat to Kuwait City. Historically, the Land Cruiser retains approximately 80-85% of its value after three years in the GCC, a figure virtually unmatched by any other vehicle in this segment.

Performance & Capability

The 409 hp twin-turbo V6 launches this massive SUV from 0-100 km/h in just 6.7 seconds, making highway overtaking effortless even when fully loaded. Its body-on-frame construction and 10-speed automatic transmission are engineered for durability under high-torque demands like dune bashing or towing up to 3,500 kg. Standard Multi-Terrain Select allows the driver to toggle between specialized modes for sand, rock, and mud, ensuring total control across the diverse landscapes of the Gulf.

Comfort & Cabin

Designed for large families, the cabin features a flexible seven-seat layout with a power-folding third row that stows flat for extra cargo space. The GCC-spec air conditioning is arguably the best in its class, featuring dedicated rear cooling vents to keep all passengers comfortable during 45°C+ summer days. Premium touches like the cooled center console box and acoustic glass ensure a quiet, executive-level experience on long drives across the Emirates.

Safety

The 2025 GXR comes standard with a comprehensive safety suite, including 10 airbags and Toyota Safety Sense. Features like Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Departure Alert are particularly useful for long desert highway stretches, while the 360-degree camera and blind-spot monitoring provide essential assistance in busy urban traffic. The vehicle also includes Crawl Control and Hill Start Assist, which provide an extra layer of safety when navigating steep dunes or loose gravel surfaces.

The bottom line

This 2025 Land Cruiser GXR is the ultimate choice for a GCC buyer who wants a new-generation powerhouse with the region's best resale color and spec. It represents a rare chance to own the Gulf's most trusted SUV in its most versatile trim level.
