Summary

This 2025 Toyota Prado GXR represents a standout opportunity in the current market, featuring mileage that is remarkably low for a one-year-old vehicle in the GCC. Dressed in white, the most preferred color for local heat management and future resale liquidity, this SUV sits on the all-new TNGA-F platform for significantly improved on-road refinement. As a GCC-spec model, it benefits from the region's most robust support network and remains the gold standard for value retention among family 4x4s. Whether you are navigating stop-start city traffic in Dubai or planning long-distance cross-border drives, this latest-generation Prado delivers a modern, turbocharged driving experience without sacrificing its legendary durability.

This Car vs Other 2025 Prados

With just 29,099 km on the odometer, this vehicle has been driven significantly less than the typical 25,000 km annual average seen in the GCC. This low-mileage status offers a genuine buying advantage, ensuring the turbocharged powertrain and interior electronics are in near-prime condition. The white exterior is a strategic choice for the UAE market, maximizing both cooling efficiency and buyer demand at the time of resale.

GXR vs Lower Trims

The GXR trim provides a major step up in daily usability and luxury over the base TXR. It introduces ventilated and heated front seats, which are essential for the GCC summer, alongside a larger 12.3-inch infotainment display and a panoramic sunroof. Furthermore, this trim enhances family safety by increasing the airbag count to eight and adding a convenient power-operated tailgate.

Prado vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the Nissan Patrol Safari or the Ford Everest, the Prado leads with its massive 110-litre fuel tank, providing superior range for long desert highway stretches. Its new 8-speed automatic transmission offers smoother power delivery than the older gearboxes found in traditional rivals. Toyota's extensive service presence across every GCC member state ensures much easier parts access than newer entrants in the segment.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 2.4L turbo engine is approximately 10.6 km/L, a notable improvement over the outgoing V6 models in stop-start city traffic. As a GCC-spec Toyota, it commands the highest resale prices in the region, typically losing only 8-10% in value annually. Service intervals are standardized at 10,000 km, supported by a vast network of authorized centers from Al-Futtaim in the UAE to Abdul Latif Jameel in Saudi Arabia.

Performance & Capability

The new 2.4L turbo engine delivers 430 Nm of torque from just 1,700 RPM, making highway overtaking effortless even when fully loaded. The permanent four-wheel-drive system includes a center differential lock and a low-range transfer case, ensuring it handles deep sand and mountain trails with ease. With 210 mm of ground clearance and a 700 mm wading depth, this SUV is engineered for both weekend desert expeditions and heavy rains.

Comfort & Cabin

The seven-seat cabin is designed for the Gulf climate, featuring a high-output tri-zone climate control system with dedicated rear cooling vents. Ventilated front seats ensure driver comfort during peak summer, while the acoustic glass helps insulate the interior from highway road noise. The upgraded 12.3-inch display features wireless smartphone integration, making it a highly connected environment for family road trips.

Safety

This GXR trim is equipped with a comprehensive safety suite including eight airbags and Toyota Safety Sense. Key features for local driving include blind-spot monitoring for fast-moving highway traffic and adaptive cruise control for long-distance desert drives. The inclusion of parking sensors and a high-resolution rearview camera makes navigating tight urban parking spaces in the UAE straightforward for a vehicle of this size.

The bottom line

This is the ideal choice for a GCC buyer seeking a near-new, low-mileage example of the latest Prado generation, offering the perfect balance of modern tech and legendary resale security.
