Summary

This 2026 Nissan Patrol SE Platinum City offers the ideal balance of the seventh-generation Y63’s modern refinement and the reliable efficiency of the 3.8-litre V6. As a GCC-spec model, it is engineered to handle the extreme heat of the Emirates, featuring the latest biometric cooling and a completely redesigned 8-seater cabin. The white exterior is the strongest resale choice in the local market, making this an excellent long-term asset. For buyers who want the prestige and tech of the all-new Patrol without the complexity of twin-turbo systems, this naturally aspirated variant is a stand-out choice. It remains the most respected full-size SUV in the region for its unmatched blend of family comfort and desert-proven hardware.

This Car vs Other 2026 Nissan Patrols

As a brand-new Y63 model, this vehicle features zero-kilometer freshness compared to high-mileage examples often found in the secondary market. The white paint choice is the most sought-after color in the GCC, ensuring faster resale and better value retention than darker shades. Choosing the naturally aspirated 3.8L V6 over the twin-turbo LE variants offers a more traditional power delivery and potentially simpler long-term maintenance in harsh desert conditions.

SE PLATINUM CITY vs Lower Trims

The SE Platinum City trim is a significant jump over the XE and SE Titanium, adding premium features like ventilated and massaging front seats that are essential for UAE summers. It introduces the 3D Around View Monitor and a Head-Up Display, providing a level of tech-focused luxury usually reserved for the top-tier LE models. You also benefit from high-end materials like quilted genuine leather and the innovative biometric cooling system that adjusts airflow based on passenger body temperature.

Nissan Patrol vs Segment Rivals

The Patrol leads the Toyota Land Cruiser 300 in terms of overall length and wheelbase, resulting in a more usable third row and superior legroom for large families. Its 3.8L V6 provides a smoother 9-speed automatic transmission compared to the older gearboxes found in some base-trim rivals. While the Chevrolet Tahoe offers similar space, the Patrol’s dedicated terrain modes and specialized cooling systems give it a distinct advantage in the Middle East's specific climate and off-road requirements.

Running Costs & Resale

The new 3.8L V6 is roughly 25% more fuel-efficient than the outgoing 4.0L engine, making it more economical for daily commutes between Sharjah and Dubai. Service intervals are typically set at 10,000 km, with Nissan’s massive authorized network ensuring parts are readily available in every GCC country. The Patrol remains a gold standard for resale value in the region, typically losing only 8–10% of its value annually, significantly outperforming European luxury SUV competitors.

Performance & Capability

With 316 horsepower and 386 Nm of torque, this Patrol offers plenty of muscle for highway overtaking and sand dune excursions. The 9-speed automatic transmission is a major generational upgrade, providing tighter ratios for city driving and relaxed RPMs at high speeds. Its four-wheel-drive system includes a rear differential lock and specialized modes for Rock, Sand, and Mud, allowing you to transition from a school run to a weekend in the Liwa desert with a single dial turn.

Comfort & Cabin

The interior is dominated by a dual 14.3-inch Monolith display that brings a high-tech, executive feel to the 8-seater cabin. Occupants enjoy three-zone climate control with dedicated rear vents, ensuring the AC remains powerful even when temperatures exceed 45°C. Practicality is enhanced by power-folding seats and a flat-load floor, making it as capable of hauling gear as it is of transporting a full family in acoustic-insulated silence.

Safety

This trim comes equipped with Nissan’s full ADAS suite, including ProPILOT Assist which provides adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping for less fatiguing drives on the E11 highway. Safety is bolstered by seven standard airbags, including a driver’s knee airbag, and the Intelligent Forward Collision Warning system with laser rangefinding. The 3D Around View Monitor is particularly useful in this large SUV, eliminating blind spots when navigating tight parking spaces in Dubai or Abu Dhabi.

The bottom line

This is a prime opportunity to own the all-new Y63 generation in its most balanced trim, offering flagship luxury and desert-ready capability with a reliable, efficient V6 powertrain.
