• 1,115 km total combined range (WLTC)
• 235 km pure electric range (WLTC)

Summary

This 2026 ROX 01 Standard brings a unique range-extended electric (REEV) proposition to the GCC market, combining silent electric propulsion with a high-capacity 70-liter fuel tank for zero range anxiety. Designed by Pininfarina, its rugged exterior silhouette is paired with an ultra-modern 7-seat cabin that features high-end tech like the Snapdragon 8155-powered 15.7-inch display. For UAE and Saudi buyers, the black exterior remains a premier choice for resale value, while the intelligent all-wheel-drive system provides reliable stability on both fast-moving highways and graded desert tracks. This model stands out by offering the electric driving feel of a luxury EV with the cross-border range capability required for long-distance GCC travel.

This Car vs Other 2026 ROX 01s

As a current-year 2026 model with practically no road time, this ROX 01 offers a distinct advantage over early-production units in terms of software stability and sensor calibration. In the GCC used market, the 7-seat configuration is highly sought after by families, maintaining a value premium over the 6-seat variant due to its greater versatility. The black exterior is a neutral, high-demand color in the region, ensuring better liquidity and value retention compared to experimental launch colors.

STANDARD vs Lower Trims

The Standard trim on the ROX 01 comes exceptionally well-equipped for the region, featuring a full suite of L2+ ADAS safety systems and the powerful 56.01 kWh CATL battery as standard. Unlike entry-level REEVs in this segment, this trim includes ventilated front seats and double-glazed acoustic glass, which are essential for maintaining cabin comfort during the extreme GCC summer. You also benefit from the 360-degree panoramic camera system, a critical aid for maneuvering this large SUV in tight urban parking environments.

01 vs Segment Rivals

The ROX 01 leads its primary rivals, the Li Auto L8 and the Land Rover Defender, by offering a unique bridge between pure electric refinement and rugged adventure capability. Its 700mm wading depth and dedicated sand mode provide genuine off-road utility that many road-biased luxury crossovers cannot match. Furthermore, the REEV powertrain offers a total range exceeding 1,100 km, outclassing most petrol-only competitors for long-distance trips between Emirates.

Running Costs & Resale

With a combined fuel consumption of approximately 7.95 L/100km, the ROX 01 is significantly more efficient in Dubai stop-start traffic than traditional V6 or V8 SUVs. The 1.5L range extender requires standard 95 octane fuel, and the CATL battery is designed for long-term durability in high-ambient temperatures. Authorized service centers are expanding across major GCC hubs like Dubai and Abu Dhabi, with recommended maintenance intervals every 12,000 km. As a new entrant with high tech-density, it typically sees a depreciation rate similar to other premium Chinese EVs, around 15% in the first year.

Performance & Capability

Total system output reaches 476 hp and 740 Nm of torque, enabling the 01 to hit 100 km/h in just 5.5 seconds, providing effortless overtaking power on the E11 highway. The intelligent e-AWD system manages torque distribution instantly, which is particularly effective when navigating loose sand or wet surfaces during rare rain events. With a 45-degree climbing capability and adaptive suspension, it maintains composed handling whether you are cruising at high speed or exploring gravel wadis.

Comfort & Cabin

The 7-seat layout provides a flexible 2-2-3 configuration, ensuring the second-row passengers enjoy maximum legroom and easy access to the third row. The cabin is an oasis of cool thanks to a robust air conditioning system and ventilated seating, while the 15.6-inch rear entertainment screen keeps family members occupied on long drives. High-quality Nappa leather and extensive soundproofing ensure the interior remains quiet and premium, effectively isolating occupants from wind noise and exterior heat.

Safety

Safety is managed by an advanced hardware suite including five millimeter-wave radars and twelve ultrasonic sensors, providing 360-degree coverage for the adaptive cruise control and blind-spot monitoring systems. The high-strength steel body, which comprises over 87% of the structure, is designed to meet stringent global safety standards. Standard safety tech includes autonomous emergency braking, lane keep assist, and a transparent chassis view that is particularly useful for avoiding obstacles while driving off-road.

The bottom line

This 2026 ROX 01 is the ideal choice for a tech-forward family needing the luxury and efficiency of an EV without sacrificing the freedom to take long desert road trips. It represents a significant saving over traditional luxury 4x4s while offering a more modern, connected driving experience.
