This 2026 ROX 01 VIP offers a unique opportunity to own a cutting-edge range-extender SUV that blends electric efficiency with long-distance security. As a zero-year-old vehicle in the sought-after Black exterior, it is perfectly positioned for high resale value in the GCC market. The VIP trim is the absolute pinnacle of the lineup, replacing the standard bench with luxury captain chairs that transform the second row into a first-class lounge. Its advanced powertrain delivers massive torque for effortless highway overtaking while eliminating the range anxiety typically associated with pure EVs. For the UAE buyer, this model represents the ideal balance of high-tech innovation and rugged, all-terrain capability.

This Car vs Other 2026 ROX 01s

As a brand-new 2026 model, this ROX 01 carries the latest software and refinement updates for the model year. Its black-on-black configuration is consistently the most requested color combination in the UAE, ensuring it holds a value premium over brighter or more niche colors. In a market where high annual mileage is common, starting with a 0 km vehicle provides a significant longevity advantage for the first owner.

VIP vs Lower Trims

The VIP trim is a dedicated executive upgrade over the standard seven-seat configuration, featuring two 'Zero-Gravity' aviation-style captain chairs in the second row. These seats add 12-way electric adjustment, advanced stone-massage functions, and dedicated leg rests that are not available on lower trims. Additionally, the VIP interior gains premium Nappa leather upholstery and an upgraded multi-zone climate system tailored for rear-passenger comfort.

ROX 01 vs Segment Rivals

The ROX 01 competes directly with the Li Auto L8 and the Seres Aito M7, leading the segment with a robust 700 mm wading depth for superior wet-weather and off-road confidence. Unlike many road-biased luxury crossovers, the ROX 01 features a high-strength steel body and specific off-road modes like 'Sand Surfing' designed for GCC weekend adventures. Its 1,115 km total range outperforms most European PHEV rivals, making it a superior choice for cross-emirate travel.

Running Costs & Resale

The REEV powertrain offers exceptional efficiency for a large SUV, with the 1.5L generator maintaining a constant, optimized RPM to charge the 56.01 kWh battery. Owners can complete daily city commutes in pure electric mode, drastically reducing fuel costs in stop-start Dubai or Riyadh traffic. Authorized service centers like EVS are expanding across the UAE, with recommended service intervals of 12,000 km. Black SUVs of this size typically experience lower depreciation than smaller luxury vehicles in the local market.

Performance & Capability

With a combined 476 hp and a massive 740 Nm of torque delivered instantly through its e-AWD system, the ROX 01 sprints to 100 km/h in just 5.5 seconds. The 70-litre fuel tank works in harmony with the battery to provide a WLTC-certified total range of 1,115 km, perfect for non-stop drives between major GCC cities. It features 205 mm of ground clearance and selectable terrain modes—including Sand, Mud, and Rock—allowing it to handle moderate desert tracks with ease.

Comfort & Cabin

The 6-seat VIP layout is designed for maximum summer comfort, featuring three-stage ventilation and heating for both the front and second-row seats. The cabin is centered around a massive 15.7-inch touchscreen and a premium audio system, creating a high-tech sanctuary shielded by acoustic glass. For camping enthusiasts, the rear seats can fold into a 'King-Size Bed Mode,' and the built-in V2L capability provides 2.2 kW of external power for appliances.

Safety

Standard on the VIP trim is a comprehensive ADAS suite including adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, and forward collision warning, all optimized for fast-moving highway traffic. The vehicle is protected by a 10-airbag system and a high-strength steel-aluminum hybrid body for maximum structural integrity. A 360-degree high-definition camera system with transparent chassis view is also standard, providing essential visibility when navigating tight urban parking or rocky off-road terrain.

The bottom line

This 2026 ROX 01 VIP is the perfect choice for a tech-forward family or executive looking for Range Rover-level presence with the efficiency and tax-benefits of an electric vehicle. It is a rare, high-spec opportunity in the UAE’s most desirable color combination.
