Summary

The 2026 ROX 01 VIP is a sophisticated extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) that offers a high-performance alternative to traditional luxury SUVs. Combining a 1.5L turbocharged range extender with a powerful dual-motor system, it delivers substantial output for effortless highway cruising across the Emirates. This VIP trim is particularly desirable in the GCC for its aviation-grade second-row captain chairs and superior cabin insulation. Its white exterior is a prime choice for the local market, ensuring excellent heat management and strong resale potential in the UAE and beyond. For buyers seeking the technology of an EV without the limitations of charging infrastructure on long desert trips, this 2026 model represents the cutting edge of the segment.

This Car vs Other 2026 ROX 01s

As a 2026 model, this vehicle features the most updated software and battery management systems currently available for the 01 platform. While many units in the GCC used market are earlier 2024 or 2025 imports, this 2026 version offers the latest refinements in drive-mode efficiency. The white exterior provides a distinct advantage for resale in the UAE, where light colors are highly preferred for their thermal properties.

VIP vs Lower Trims

The VIP trim represents the top of the lineup, replacing the standard second-row bench with high-end 'zero-gravity' captain chairs featuring integrated leg rests, ventilation, and massage functions. It also gains the high-definition rear entertainment screen and the advanced 256-color ambient lighting system not standard on the Sport or Luxury variants. Furthermore, the VIP trim includes the full ADAS suite and a premium audio system as standard equipment.

01 vs Segment Rivals

The ROX 01 leads its segment with a total range of 1,115 km, significantly outperforming competitors like the Li Auto L8 and Xpeng G9 on long-distance highway hauls between cities. Its 700 mm wading depth and dedicated sand mode give it genuine off-road credibility that road-biased luxury crossovers lack. For family use, the 3,010 mm wheelbase ensures superior legroom in both the first and second rows compared to many European luxury SUVs.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel efficiency is exceptional, averaging approximately 2.7 L/100km when the battery and range extender work in harmony, offering significant savings in stop-start Dubai traffic. Maintenance is simplified as the 1.5L turbo engine acts solely as a generator, leading to longer service intervals for the internal combustion components. While the brand is new to the GCC, authorized service centers in the UAE and Saudi Arabia are rapidly expanding, providing reliable support for local owners. Resale value for top-tier VIP trims in white remains stable, benefiting from the growing popularity of premium Chinese EREVs.

Performance & Capability

The ROX 01 delivers a combined 469 hp and a massive 740 Nm of torque, enabling a rapid 0–100 km/h sprint of 5.5 seconds, which is remarkably agile for a large SUV. Its intelligent AWD system features specialized terrain modes including Sand, Rock, and Mud, tailored for GCC weekend adventures. The 56 kWh ternary lithium battery provides over 200 km of pure electric range, allowing for zero-emission daily commuting within the city.

Comfort & Cabin

The interior is a focused luxury environment, featuring three-zone climate control with dedicated vents for all rows to handle extreme summer temperatures. The cabin is dominated by a 15.7-inch central display and a 12.3-inch digital cockpit, all integrated into a minimalist dashboard design. Passengers in the VIP seats enjoy full electric adjustment and acoustic glass that effectively blocks out highway wind noise for a serene travel experience.

Safety

This trim comes equipped with a comprehensive Level 2+ driver assistance suite, including adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go functionality, blind-spot monitoring, and autonomous emergency braking. A high-resolution 360-degree camera system makes maneuvering this large SUV in tight city parking easy, while 10 airbags provide extensive occupant protection. These systems are particularly effective on fast-moving GCC highways, providing an extra layer of active monitoring in busy traffic.

The bottom line

This 2026 ROX 01 VIP is the ideal choice for a forward-thinking UAE buyer who demands the luxury of an executive lounge paired with the range and capability needed for cross-country exploration.
