Summary

This 2026 ROX 01 VIP offers a unique opportunity to own a virtually new extended-range SUV that blends rugged Pininfarina design with first-class executive luxury. With 0 years of age, it bypasses the typical depreciation curve seen in its first year while providing a range-extended powertrain that eliminates EV charging anxiety for cross-border GCC trips. The black exterior is highly favored in the regional used market, ensuring strong resale value compared to more niche colors. As a VIP trim, it competes directly with established luxury players by offering an interior suite that feels more like a private jet than a traditional family SUV. For the GCC buyer, the combination of high-output electric performance and a petrol generator makes it a versatile tool for both stop-start city traffic and long desert highway hauls.

This Car vs Other 2026 ROX 01s

As a brand-new 2026 model with 0 years of age, this vehicle presents a significant advantage over high-mileage examples often found in the UAE's fast-paced used market. While average GCC annual mileage typically reaches 25,000 km, this car remains in peak mechanical condition. The black finish is a strategic choice for the region, consistently ranking as a top-three resale color for SUVs in the Emirates and Saudi Arabia.

VIP vs Lower Trims

The VIP trim is defined by its second-row aviation-style captain chairs, which feature 12-way electric adjustment, eight-point spa massage functions, and independent heating and ventilation. Unlike standard configurations, this trim includes the 15.6-inch drop-down rear entertainment screen and the 14-speaker premium audio system, turning the cabin into a mobile lounge. It also adds a dedicated 3D transparent chassis view for easier navigation through tight urban spaces or sandy tracks.

ROX 01 vs Segment Rivals

The ROX 01 leads segment rivals like the Li Auto L8 and Land Rover Defender in pure range flexibility, offering a verified 1,115 km WLTC total range that covers the distance from Dubai to Riyadh on a single tank and charge. Its Pininfarina-designed exterior provides a more aggressive off-road stance than its road-biased Chinese competitors, while its 700 mm wading depth outclasses most luxury crossovers in its price bracket. The 476 hp output ensures it remains more responsive at highway speeds than traditional four-cylinder hybrid rivals.

Running Costs & Resale

The REEV powertrain delivers an impressive real-world combined fuel consumption of roughly 7.95 L/100km, significantly lowering running costs during heavy GCC city traffic where the electric motors do the bulk of the work. Service intervals are typically every 10,000 km, and while ROX is a newer brand, authorized service centers in the UAE are expanding rapidly to support the growing fleet. Expect a depreciation rate of approximately 15-18% annually, which is competitive for a premium Chinese NEV in the current local market.

Performance & Capability

Despite its substantial curb weight, the ROX 01 hits 100 km/h in just 5.5 seconds, providing effortless overtaking power on the E11 or E311 highways. The intelligent e-AWD system features five dedicated terrain modes, including a specialized 'Sand' mode designed for GCC weekend adventures. With a 45-degree climbing capability and a 70-liter fuel tank, it is one of the few electrified SUVs that feels genuinely at home during long-distance cross-emirate travel.

Comfort & Cabin

The six-seat VIP layout is optimized for the GCC climate, featuring powerful three-zone climate control and triple-stage ventilated seats in both the first and second rows. The cabin is insulated with double-layer acoustic glass to maintain a quiet environment even at high highway speeds. Tech enthusiasts will appreciate the dual-screen setup, featuring a 15.7-inch 3K central display powered by a Snapdragon 8155 processor for lag-free operation of navigation and media.

Safety

The ROX 01 VIP comes standard with a comprehensive Level 2+ ADAS suite, including adaptive cruise control and blind-spot monitoring that are essential for the fast-paced multi-lane traffic of the GCC. It features 9 airbags and a high-strength steel cage construction for maximum occupant protection. The 360-degree camera system with a transparent chassis function provides exceptional visibility during parking in tight spots or navigating uneven terrain.

The bottom line

For the buyer who wants the futuristic tech of an EV without the range limitations of a battery-only car, this 2026 ROX 01 VIP is the most feature-complete executive SUV currently available in the region.
