• Six seats with second-row captain chairs

Summary

This 2026 ROX 01 VIP is a prime example of the next generation of Range-Extended Electric Vehicles (REEV), offering zero-mileage benefits for a GCC buyer. Its black exterior is one of the most desirable colors for resale in the UAE and Saudi markets, providing a classic executive look that holds its value well. The VIP trim is a specific 6-seater configuration that trades a middle bench for high-end luxury, making it a standout choice for those prioritizing passenger comfort. As a range-extender, it solves the regional challenge of long-distance desert travel without relying on charging infrastructure, as the 1.5L engine serves purely as a generator. For anyone commuting between Emirates, this vehicle provides the smoothness of an EV with the total range of a traditional petrol cruiser.

This Car vs Other 2026 ROX 01s

With just 32 km on the odometer, this vehicle is effectively brand new, offering a significant advantage over other 2026 models that may have already entered daily service. The black paint is a top-tier choice for GCC resale, ensuring strong demand when you eventually decide to upgrade. For a 0-year-old vehicle, this mileage is as low as a buyer can find in the secondary market.

VIP vs Lower Trims

The VIP trim is the flagship configuration, replacing the standard 7-seat layout with dual second-row 'Zero Gravity' captain chairs that feature 12-way electric adjustment and integrated leg rests. It also adds premium Nappa leather upholstery and a 15.6-inch drop-down rear entertainment screen which are not standard on base models. These executive features are highly valued in the GCC for providing first-class comfort during long cross-country drives.

01 vs Segment Rivals

The ROX 01 leads its segment rivals like the Li Auto L8 and AITO M7 with a superior 700mm wading depth, making it better suited for the sudden seasonal flooding seen in Gulf cities. Its 70-litre fuel tank provides a significant range advantage for long highway stretches between Abu Dhabi and Riyadh compared to smaller-tank hybrid competitors. The boxy Pininfarina design also offers more vertical headroom for adult passengers in all three rows than its sleeker rivals.

Running Costs & Resale

The REEV powertrain is exceptionally efficient in GCC stop-start traffic, using purely electric power for city driving while the 1.5L generator only activates during heavy load or long highway cruises. While the Chinese regional spec requires verified local service compatibility, specialized new-energy service centers in the UAE now provide full maintenance support for these systems. Resale value for the ROX 01 is currently strong due to high demand for high-tech EREVs, with black models historically fetching a premium. Expected annual depreciation is competitive with other premium Chinese new-energy brands in the region.

Performance & Capability

Total system output of 476 hp and 740 Nm of torque allows this large SUV to reach 100 km/h in just 5.5 seconds, providing effortless overtaking power on fast-moving highways. The intelligent All-Wheel Drive system includes a dedicated 'Sand Mode' designed for GCC dunes and a 700mm wading capability for varied terrain. The adaptive DCC suspension automatically adjusts to road conditions, ensuring a plush ride whether cruising at 140 km/h or navigating gravel tracks.

Comfort & Cabin

The 6-seat VIP layout focuses on executive comfort, featuring ventilated and heated seats for both the front and second-row passengers—essential for the intense GCC summer. Tri-zone climate control ensures the rear cabin remains cool even when temperatures exceed 45°C outside. A high-definition 15.7-inch central display and an immersive 15-speaker audio system create a premium mobile lounge environment for the whole family.

Safety

The 2026 ROX 01 VIP comes equipped with a comprehensive L2+ ADAS suite including Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Spot Monitoring, and Lane Centering Assist, which are particularly useful on long desert highways. It features a high-strength steel body construction and multiple airbags protecting all three rows. The standard 360-degree high-definition camera system makes maneuvering this 5.3-meter SUV simple in tight urban parking areas.

The bottom line

For the GCC buyer seeking a brand-new luxury SUV that combines EV refinement with 1,100km of anxiety-free range, this zero-mileage 2026 ROX 01 VIP in black is a sophisticated and practical investment.
