Summary

This 2026 ROX 01 VIP is a sophisticated range-extender hybrid that bridges the gap between high-performance electric power and the long-distance freedom required for GCC travel. With just 13,000 km, this vehicle is exceptionally fresh for its age, offering a significant advantage for buyers who want a near-new experience without the initial depreciation. The VIP trim is the most desirable configuration in the local market, trading a middle bench for two ultra-luxurious aviation-style seats. In the classic black exterior, this SUV maintains strong resale appeal in the UAE, where dark, premium colors are a staple of executive transport. It is the perfect choice for families who need the silence of an EV for the daily school run but the security of a petrol engine for weekend trips across the Emirates.

This Car vs Other 2026 ROX 01s

With only 13,000 km on the odometer, this ROX 01 sits well below the typical 20,000–25,000 km average seen in the GCC for a one-year-old vehicle. This low usage ensures the interior materials and complex hybrid battery remain in peak condition. The black-on-orange color combination is a high-demand spec in the local used market, often commanding a premium over more common white or silver imports.

VIP vs Lower Trims

The VIP trim is defined by its 2+2+2 layout, featuring second-row aviation seats that offer heating, ventilation, and massage functions—essential for summer comfort in the GCC. Unlike the standard 7-seat versions, the VIP includes a dedicated 15.6-inch rear entertainment screen and a more advanced 14-speaker premium audio system as standard. It also upgrades the cabin with full Nappa leather and an integrated 2.2kW external power output (V2L) for outdoor use.

01 vs Segment Rivals

The ROX 01 competes directly with the Li Auto L8 and the Voyah Free, but stands out with a superior 700mm wading depth for handling sudden seasonal flooding. Its 70-litre fuel tank is specifically tuned for long desert highway hauls, providing a combined range that outclasses many traditional petrol SUVs in the same price bracket. Additionally, the Pininfarina-designed exterior gives it a more rugged, off-road aesthetic than its more road-biased rivals.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for this hybrid powertrain typically averages around 7.95 L/100 km, offering substantial savings in stop-start Dubai traffic. Service intervals are recommended every 12,000 km, and while ROX is a newer brand, authorized support is available through specialized networks like EVS UAE across Dubai and Abu Dhabi. As a Chinese-spec import, value retention is best protected by maintaining a full service history with these recognized specialists.

Performance & Capability

Despite its family-focused interior, the ROX 01 delivers a staggering 5.5-second 0–100 km/h sprint thanks to its 400 hp dual-motor setup. The vehicle features a dedicated 'Wade Mode' and 205mm of ground clearance, making it more than capable of handling gravel tracks and sandy weekend escapes. On the highway, the 740 Nm of instant torque ensures effortless overtaking even when fully loaded with six passengers.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is engineered for the heat, featuring high-performance air conditioning with dedicated vents for all three rows and UV-insulated glass. The standout feature is the second-row VIP seating, which reclines significantly to provide a first-class travel experience during long drives. Cabin quietness is enhanced by acoustic glass, effectively sealing out the wind noise typically associated with boxy SUV designs.

Safety

Standard safety tech on this VIP trim includes a full Level 2 ADAS suite with adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assist, which are vital for safety on high-speed UAE highways. The 360° high-definition camera system features a 'transparent chassis' view, allowing the driver to see obstacles directly beneath the vehicle when navigating tight parking or uneven terrain. It also features a robust array of airbags and ISOFIX anchors for family security.

The bottom line

For the tech-forward buyer who demands executive-level luxury and zero-range-anxiety, this low-mileage 2026 ROX 01 VIP is a high-value alternative to traditional luxury SUVs.
