Summary

This 2026 ROX 01 VIP offers a rare opportunity to own a cutting-edge extended-range hybrid SUV that bridges the gap between rugged off-road capability and executive luxury. As a Chinese-spec model, it arrives with a digital cockpit and smart driving suite that frequently outpaces established European rivals. The white exterior is a prime choice for the GCC market, ensuring strong resale demand and helping the cabin stay cooler during the intense summer months. With its high-output hybrid powertrain, this SUV is perfectly suited for long-distance highway commutes between emirates, providing significant fuel savings without the range anxiety of a pure EV. The VIP trim is a focused luxury statement, as comfortable at a high-end valet as it is on a weekend expedition through the desert.

This Car vs Other 2026 ROX 01s

With zero mileage on the clock, this 2026 model represents the freshest available stock in the UAE market. Typical annual use for large SUVs in the GCC often reaches 25,000 km, making this pristine example a significant long-term value play. The white paintwork is the most practical choice for the region, offering the best heat rejection and the highest historical resale retention.

VIP vs Lower Trims

The VIP trim is the definitive luxury specification, adding high-value features that GCC buyers prioritize, such as the second-row zero-gravity aviation seats with integrated heating, ventilation, and 8-point massage functions. It also includes the high-resolution 15.6-inch rear entertainment screen and the premium speaker system as standard. These executive-level upgrades significantly differentiate the VIP from the standard Luxury trim, making it much more desirable for family and chauffeur use.

01 vs Segment Rivals

The ROX 01 leads its segment with a 70L fuel tank and a massive 56.01 kWh battery, offering a combined range of 1,338 km that dwarfs the touring capability of the Jetour T2 or GWM Tank 500. While traditional rivals like the Land Rover Defender rely on pure mechanical hardware, the ROX uses its dual-motor electric torque for a dedicated 'Dune Mode' that provides superior precision in soft sand. Its cabin cooling system is specifically tuned for high-ambient temperatures, featuring dedicated rear vents that outperform many American-spec competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for this EREV system is highly efficient, averaging approximately 7.95 L/100km once the battery is depleted, which is exceptional for a 2.7-ton SUV. The vehicle is designed for 95-octane fuel, widely available across the UAE and Saudi Arabia. While Chinese brands are newer to the region, the ROX 01 has gained rapid traction with a growing service footprint through authorized distributors like Futures Trans Motors. Depreciation is currently tracking lower than many startup EVs due to the highly practical hybrid range-extender setup.

Performance & Capability

Despite its imposing size, the 01 delivers a sports-car-like 0–100 km/h time of 5.5 seconds thanks to its 740 Nm of instant electric torque. The four-wheel-drive system is supported by five specialized ROX terrain modes, including a Wade mode that utilizes the 700 mm wading depth for crossing flooded areas or wadis. On the highway, the 1.5L range extender remains almost imperceptible, providing a smooth and quiet cruising experience at the UAE's 140 km/h speed limits.

Comfort & Cabin

The 7-seat VIP configuration features a 2-2-3 layout with a convenient central aisle, allowing easy access to the third row. The cabin is an 'outdoor luxury' sanctuary, featuring Nappa leather, 256-color ambient lighting, and a 15.7-inch 3K central touchscreen powered by the Snapdragon 8155 chip. For the GCC summer, the multi-zone climate control and ventilated seats across the first two rows ensure all passengers remain cool, while the digital rearview mirror provides clear visibility even when the vehicle is fully loaded with luggage.

Safety

The ROX 01 has earned a 5-star C-NCAP safety rating and comes standard with a comprehensive ADAS suite powered by dual Texas Instruments chips. This includes Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Change Assist, which are invaluable for long desert highway drives, alongside Blind Spot Monitoring for fast-moving city traffic. The 3D transparent chassis and 360° camera system provide a virtual under-car view, ensuring safety when navigating tight parking spots or rocky terrain.

The bottom line

This ROX 01 VIP is the ideal choice for a tech-forward family in the UAE looking for the space of a Patrol with the efficiency and interior tech of a modern EV. As a brand-new 2026 model in the most resilient resale color, it is a low-risk entry into the premium hybrid segment.
