Summary

This 2026 Toyota Hiace DX is a delivery-ready opportunity, offering a near-zero mileage advantage that is rare in the GCC commercial market. Finished in White, the region's highest-demand color for resale, it provides an immediate entry into fleet operations without the wait times of a new order. The 2.8-liter turbo diesel engine is the preferred choice for GCC businesses, delivering the low-end torque required for heavy loads in high-temperature environments. With its manual transmission, this van offers the mechanical simplicity and durability that fleet managers prioritize for long-term maintenance costs. As a GCC-spec model, it is fully optimized for the local climate with reinforced cooling and dust protection standard.

This Car vs Other 2026 Hiaces

With just 45 km on the odometer, this Hiace is effectively a new vehicle, offering a significant mileage advantage over typical used commercial units that often cover 30,000 km in their first year. The White exterior is the optimal choice for the GCC, reflecting heat efficiently and maintaining the highest possible resale value in the local second-hand market. Buying a 2026 model now secures the latest safety and cabin refinements while avoiding the typical depreciation of higher-mileage fleet vehicles.

DX vs Lower Trims

The DX trim serves as the essential professional baseline, adding vital standard equipment like power windows and central door locking that aren't always found on entry-level panel variants. It features a digital instrument cluster and a 4.2-inch multi-information display, giving the driver better real-time oversight of vehicle health. Crucially for the GCC, the DX includes dual air conditioning with dedicated rear vents, ensuring passenger or temperature-sensitive cargo stays cool in summer peak heat.

Hiace vs Segment Rivals

The Hiace leads the segment in reliability and parts availability, with a service network that spans even the most remote areas of the UAE and Saudi Arabia. Compared to the Nissan Urvan or Ford Transit, the Hiace holds its value better at the 3-year mark, making it a lower-risk investment for business owners. Its 1,145 kg payload capacity and semi-bonnet design offer a superior balance of safety and cargo volume compared to traditional cab-over competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

The 2.8L turbo diesel engine typically achieves between 8.5L and 9.5L/100km in mixed GCC driving conditions, offering a significant range advantage on long-haul routes between emirates. Service intervals are recommended every 10,000 km, and the vast availability of both genuine and aftermarket parts keeps long-term maintenance costs among the lowest in the class. Historically, the Hiace retains roughly 85-90% of its value in the first year in the UAE market, outperforming most European commercial rivals.

Performance & Capability

The 2.8L 4-cylinder turbo diesel produces 420 Nm of torque, ensuring the van remains composed and capable even when carrying a maximum payload of 1,145 kg. The rear-wheel-drive layout provides superior traction under heavy loads, which is essential for navigating incline ramps or sandy service roads. A 70-litre fuel tank ensures fewer stops during cross-border drives, while the 6.4m turning circle remains manageable for urban warehouse deliveries.

Comfort & Cabin

Configured for 9+ passengers, the DX cabin features durable fabric seating designed to withstand the rigors of daily commercial use. The high-roof architecture provides significant interior volume, while the semi-bonnet design pushes the engine forward to reduce heat soak and noise levels for front-row occupants. The manual air conditioning system is specifically tuned for the GCC, providing rapid cabin cooling even after the vehicle has been parked in direct sunlight.

Safety

Safety is managed through Toyota’s proven active systems, including Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) and an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Brake Assist. This trim comes standard with dual front airbags and rear parking sensors to assist in maneuvering a large vehicle in tight loading zones. The structural semi-bonnet design also provides a dedicated crumple zone, offering better frontal impact protection than older flat-nose van designs.

The bottom line

For a fleet operator or tourism business, this near-new 2026 Hiace DX offers the perfect balance of immediate availability, diesel efficiency, and the best resale configuration in the GCC.
