Highlights

• 277 hp from a 3.5-litre V6 engine
• Extensive GCC authorised service network
• 9+ seats with independent rear climate zones

Summary

This 2026 model represents the most powerful iteration of the region’s favorite people-mover, utilizing a 3.5L V6 engine that offers a significant performance advantage for highway overtaking and full-load transport. As a GCC-spec vehicle, it is purpose-built to withstand extreme summer temperatures with an upgraded cooling system and powerful dual-zone air conditioning that reaches every row. The white exterior is the highest-demand color for commercial resale in the UAE, ensuring the strongest possible value retention for fleet operators or private businesses. Choosing the GL trim adds essential creature comforts and a more professional aesthetic that sets it apart from basic worker shuttle variants. It remains the benchmark for reliability in the GCC, supported by the most comprehensive parts and service infrastructure in the Middle East.

This Car vs Other 2026 Hiaces

With zero delivery mileage, this 2026 unit offers a full service life and the maximum possible warranty protection compared to used examples in the market. Its white exterior is not just a practical choice for the heat, but the gold standard for resale liquidity in the GCC commercial sector. The manual transmission paired with the V6 is a rare combination that provides lower long-term maintenance costs and greater driver control on inter-city routes.

GL vs Lower Trims

The GL trim upgrades the ownership experience with color-keyed bumpers and a chrome grille, providing a premium appearance suitable for hotel or corporate shuttle services. Inside, it adds a 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with a multi-information display that lower commercial trims lack. You also benefit from higher-quality fabric seating and additional safety tech like a rear-view camera and parking sensors as standard.

Hiace vs Segment Rivals

The Hiace leads competitors like the Nissan Urvan and Hyundai H1 by offering a larger displacement 3.5L V6 engine, providing 277 horsepower for effortless performance even with a full passenger load. Its high-roof design offers superior internal headroom, making it the preferred choice for tourism and luxury transport. Furthermore, Toyota’s dominance in the GCC means parts are available in every corner of the region, a claim few rivals can match.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for this V6 powertrain averages between 10.9L and 12L per 100km, which is efficient for a large-capacity naturally aspirated engine in GCC traffic. Maintenance is straightforward with 10,000 km service intervals, and the authorized service network is the most extensive in the UAE and Saudi Arabia. Historically, the Hiace retains up to 70% of its value after three years, outperforming all other vans in the segment.

Performance & Capability

The 277 hp V6 engine is the standout feature, delivering 351 Nm of torque to the rear wheels for confident acceleration on fast-moving highways like the E11. The 6-speed manual transmission is engineered for durability, offering a mechanical simplicity that is highly valued for high-mileage commercial use. With a 70-litre fuel tank, the Hiace is capable of long-distance hauls across the emirates with fewer refueling stops.

Comfort & Cabin

Designed for maximum occupancy, the cabin features a versatile 9+ seat layout with a high-roof ceiling that allows for easy movement inside. The GCC-specific dual air conditioning system includes independent rear controls and roof-mounted vents for every row to maintain comfort during 45°C summers. Modern touches like the 8-inch display audio system and multiple USB charging ports ensure that all passengers stay connected during long road trips.

Safety

Safety is managed by a comprehensive suite including Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Traction Control (TRC), and Hill-Start Assist (HAC) to keep the bus stable under load. It features dual front airbags, ABS with Brake Assist, and a Tire Pressure Monitoring System as standard equipment. The addition of a rear-view camera and parking sensors is particularly valuable for navigating this large vehicle in tight urban parking areas.

The bottom line

This V6-powered GL bus is the ideal investment for a GCC business owner who needs the perfect balance of passenger comfort, legendary Toyota durability, and the best resale value in the market.
