• Extensive GCC authorised service network

Summary

This brand-new 2026 Toyota Hilux GL is the defining workhorse of the GCC, combining legendary body-on-frame durability with the daily utility of a four-door double cab. The 2.7L petrol engine is a strategic choice for regional buyers, offering simpler long-term maintenance compared to complex turbo-diesels while delivering steady power for site work. As a white, GCC-spec model, it sits in the most liquid segment of the used market, ensuring the strongest possible resale value across the Emirates and Saudi Arabia. Whether you are managing a fleet or looking for a reliable desert-ready partner, this pickup represents the benchmark for mechanical longevity in extreme heat.

This Car vs Other 2026 Hiluxs

As a zero-kilometer 2026 model, this Hilux offers the full benefit of Toyota's latest production refinements without the wear typical of regional work vehicles. While many Hiluxs in the GCC quickly accumulate high highway mileage, this example provides a fresh mechanical start for its first owner. The white exterior is the most preferred color for local resale, effectively reflecting solar heat and maintaining its market value better than darker shades.

GL vs Lower Trims

The GL trim serves as a versatile mid-tier choice, bridging the gap between basic commercial variants and the luxury-oriented SGLX. It features essential conveniences like power windows, central locking, and a multi-function steering wheel that are often absent on entry-level fleet grades. Crucially, it retains the rugged fabric interior and heavy-duty floor materials designed to withstand the sand and dust of GCC work sites.

Hilux vs Segment Rivals

The Hilux leads the Isuzu D-Max and Nissan Navara primarily through the sheer scale of its regional support network and the ubiquity of spare parts in every GCC country. Its 80-litre fuel tank provides a superior cruising range for long-distance desert transits compared to smaller-capacity rivals. While competitors may focus on lifestyle features, the Hilux remains the segment leader for pure structural rigidity and mechanical simplicity.

Running Costs & Resale

The 2.7L petrol powertrain typically delivers a combined fuel economy of approximately 10.4 km/L, offering a predictable cost profile for urban and highway driving. Service intervals are standardized at 5,000 km or 6 months across the extensive Toyota GCC network, ensuring high uptime for commercial users. Historically, the Hilux maintains one of the lowest depreciation rates in the Middle East, often retaining over 80% of its value after three years of operation.

Performance & Capability

The 164 horsepower VVT-i engine is paired with a selectable four-wheel-drive system and a 6-speed automatic transmission, providing a smooth but capable driving experience. With an 860 kg payload capacity and a robust ladder-frame chassis, it is engineered to handle heavy equipment or desert gear without compromising stability. The 245 Nm of torque ensures confident low-speed crawling when navigating loose sand or steep gradients.

Comfort & Cabin

The five-seat double cab layout is designed for crew transport, featuring a high-output air conditioning system specifically tuned for 45°C+ summer temperatures. Durable fabric upholstery is standard, offering better heat resistance than leather during peak UAE afternoons. The cabin is simplified for ease of use, providing clear visibility and ergonomic controls that are easy to operate even when wearing work gloves.

Safety

Safety is managed by a suite of essential systems including dual front airbags, a driver knee airbag, and Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) to maintain composure on sandy surfaces. It is equipped with Anti-lock Braking (ABS), Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), and Hill-Start Assist Control (HAC), which are vital for managing heavy loads on the inclined roads of the Northern Emirates or the highlands of Saudi Arabia.

The bottom line

This 2026 Hilux GL is the ideal opportunity for a buyer seeking the ultimate balance of 4x4 capability and long-term resale security in a brand-new vehicle.
