Highlights

• 3,500 kg braked towing capacity
• 286 mm maximum ground clearance
• Extensive GCC authorised service network

Summary

This GCC-spec Hilux represents the absolute peak of the petrol-powered lineup, uniquely offering the tried-and-tested 4.0L V6 engine that many rivals have replaced with smaller turbocharged units. Its Platinum White Pearl exterior is a high-demand choice in the local market, ensuring both heat reflection in the summer and the strongest possible resale value down the line. As a GR Sport trim, it blends workhorse durability with a wide-body stance and sport-tuned suspension specifically designed to handle the high-speed demands of GCC highways and desert terrain. For buyers who prioritize mechanical longevity and effortless power delivery, this V6 configuration remains the gold standard in the region's pickup segment.

This Car vs Other 2026 Hiluxes

While many 2026 models in the market are equipped with the 2.7L engine or diesel variants, this V6 Petrol version offers significantly more highway confidence and overtaking power. The white exterior is a massive advantage for GCC owners, as it significantly aids in cabin cooling during peak summer and remains the fastest-selling color on the used market. With zero specified mileage, it presents a rare opportunity to own the flagship performance trim in as-new condition.

GR SPORT vs Lower Trims

The GR Sport adds significant equipment over the Adventure and GLX trims, most notably the wide-body styling and 360-degree Panoramic View Monitor, which is essential for maneuvering such a large vehicle in tight urban spaces. Inside, it features exclusive GR-branded leather and suede-style sport seats, paddle shifters for greater control, and a sport-tuned suspension that offers improved handling and stability at speed compared to the standard leaf-spring setups.

Hilux vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the Nissan Navara Pro-4X and the Ford Ranger, the Hilux leads with its massive 80-liter fuel tank, making it far better suited for long-distance cross-border drives between UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Oman. Its 4.0L naturally aspirated V6 is simpler to maintain and more reliable under extreme heat than the complex turbocharged systems found in many European and American competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

Toyota enjoys the most extensive authorized service network across every major city in the GCC, from Dubai to Riyadh, ensuring parts are always readily available and affordable. The 4.0L V6 is famously durable, often reaching high mileages without major repairs, which is why it retains roughly 85-90% of its value after three years in the UAE. Fuel requirements are standard 95-octane, and service intervals are typically every 10,000 km at Al Futtaim or equivalent regional distributors.

Performance & Capability

The 235 hp V6 engine provides a linear power delivery that is particularly effective for desert driving and climbing steep dunes where consistent torque is required. It boasts a class-leading 3,500 kg braked towing capacity and a 286 mm ground clearance, allowing it to navigate deep sand and rocky wadis with ease. The selectable 4WD system includes a rear differential lock and low-range transfer case, providing genuine mechanical capability for serious off-road enthusiasts.

Comfort & Cabin

The five-seat cabin is specifically designed for the GCC climate, featuring a powerful dual-zone automatic air conditioning system that is widely regarded as the most effective in its class. Passengers benefit from dedicated rear cooling vents and high-quality cabin insulation that minimizes road noise during long highway stints. The 8-inch touchscreen includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard, paired with a multi-function GR steering wheel for a driver-focused experience.

Safety

Safety is prioritized with a suite of seven airbags and advanced stability systems like Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) and Traction Control (TCS), which are vital for maintaining grip on loose gravel and sand. The 360-degree camera provides excellent visibility for parking and off-road navigation, while Hill-Start Assist and Downhill Assist Control ensure stability on steep inclines. These features are standard on the GR Sport, offering a safety level that exceeds many base-model utility trucks.

The bottom line

This Hilux is the perfect match for a GCC buyer who wants a performance-styled truck without sacrificing the bulletproof reliability of a naturally aspirated V6. It is a premium, ready-to-drive opportunity in the most desirable color and trim combination currently available in the region.
