Summary

This brand-new 2027 Toyota Prado VXR represents the pinnacle of the all-new 250 Series, arriving in the sought-after Brown exterior that offers excellent heat-deflection and resale appeal in the GCC. The transition to the turbocharged 2.4-liter powertrain provides significantly improved low-end torque compared to the outgoing V6, making it better suited for both heavy sand driving and highway overtaking. As a VXR, this listing features the highest level of off-road hardware and interior refinement available in the regional market. For a buyer looking for a zero-kilometer 2027 model, this Prado offers the most reliable long-term value retention of any SUV in its class. Toyota's massive regional service network ensures this remains a hassle-free investment for years to come.

This Car vs Other 2027 Prados

With zero kilometers on the odometer, this 2027 model represents the earliest opportunity to own the latest production cycle of the 250 Series. The Brown exterior is a sophisticated alternative to the common White and Silver, maintaining high resale demand while hiding desert dust effectively. In the GCC market, where 20,000 km is the annual average, starting with a fresh 2027 unit provides a significant longevity advantage.

VXR vs Lower Trims

The VXR trim adds critical off-road technology not found on the GXR or EXR, most notably the rear differential lock and the Stabilizer Disconnect Mechanism (SDM) for extreme wheel articulation. Inside, it upgrades the experience with the larger 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a premium 10-speaker audio system, and ventilated leather seats which are essential for the GCC summer. You also benefit from the full Toyota Safety Sense suite, including a 360-degree camera and adaptive cruise control.

Prado vs Segment Rivals

The Prado leads the Nissan Pathfinder and Ford Everest in pure off-road durability thanks to its heavy-duty body-on-frame construction and Toyota's legendary 4WD hardware. Its 110-litre fuel tank capacity is specifically designed for long-distance desert touring, offering a range advantage over many monocoque competitors. Furthermore, the Prado's historical depreciation rate remains the lowest in the segment across the UAE and Saudi Arabia.

Running Costs & Resale

The new 2.4-liter turbo engine is designed to be more fuel-efficient than the older 4.0L V6 while running comfortably on local petrol grades. Toyota’s authorized service centers are the most widely available across all GCC countries, ensuring parts are always accessible and affordable. As a GCC-spec vehicle, it retains a significant price premium in the used market compared to imported American or European versions. Expect a depreciation rate of roughly 8–10% annually, which is the best in the SUV segment.

Performance & Capability

The turbocharged engine delivers a robust 430 Nm of torque, providing a more responsive feel during highway overtaking and technical dune climbing. The 250 Series platform brings a standard 3,500 kg braked towing capacity, making it a capable workhorse for weekend hauling. With 221 mm of ground clearance and Multi-Terrain Select, this Prado is engineered to handle the most demanding desert terrains in the Emirates and beyond. The new 8-speed automatic transmission ensures smoother power delivery during long-distance highway cruises between cities.

Comfort & Cabin

This seven-seat configuration is tailored for family use, featuring a powerful triple-zone climate control system with dedicated rear vents to combat 45°C+ summer heat. The VXR cabin is finished in premium leather with front-seat ventilation and a cooled center console box for beverages. Tech highlights include a Head-Up Display and wireless smartphone integration, ensuring a modern executive feel during daily commutes. Acoustic glass is standard on this trim, significantly reducing wind noise on fast-moving UAE highways.

Safety

The VXR comes standard with the full Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 suite, including Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Pre-Collision System, and Lane Tracing Assist for safer long-distance highway travel. The 360-degree Panoramic View Monitor is particularly useful for parking in tight city spaces or navigating narrow off-road trails. With 9 airbags and a high-strength TNGA-F steel frame, it provides top-tier occupant protection for GCC families.

The bottom line

This 2027 Prado VXR is the perfect match for the GCC buyer who demands a zero-kilometer, top-tier off-roader with the highest projected resale value in the region.
