Summary

This 2026 Toyota Prado All Rounder G represents the highly anticipated 250-series generation, bringing a significant leap in refinement and turbocharged performance to the GCC. Finished in black, it occupies the most desirable niche for local resale, ensuring strong value retention in a market that prioritizes professional aesthetics. The move to the 2.4L turbo engine provides the low-end torque necessary for effortless highway overtaking and desert climbs without the bulk of the larger Land Cruiser 300. For a GCC buyer, this specific trim offers the essential balance of seven-seat utility and Toyota's legendary reliability, backed by a service network that spans every major city in the region. It is the definitive choice for those who need a bulletproof daily driver that can transition to a serious overland vehicle on the weekends.

This Car vs Other 2026 Prados

In the GCC used market, a 2026 model with zero or delivery mileage is a rare opportunity to bypass long waiting lists for the all-new 250-series. Black remains one of the fastest-selling colors in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, offering a distinct advantage in future resale liquidity compared to niche colors. While many regional units are now arriving with various engine specs, this 2.4L turbo petrol variant is specifically optimized for the high-temperature stop-start traffic common in major Gulf cities.

ALL ROUNDER G vs Lower Trims

The All Rounder G trim bridges the gap between utility and luxury by adding critical GCC-specific comforts like a center console cool box and heated/ventilated front seats as standard. Unlike base workhorse trims, it features the upgraded 12.3-inch touchscreen and 7-inch digital instrument cluster that modernized the cabin experience for 2026. Buyers also benefit from a power-adjustable driver's seat and a power back door, features often missing from the entry-level TX variants.

Prado vs Segment Rivals

The Prado continues to lead rivals like the Ford Everest and Mitsubishi Montero Sport in the GCC due to its massive 110-litre fuel tank, which is essential for long cross-border drives or deep desert exploration. Its 700 mm wading depth and body-on-frame durability give it a mechanical edge over unibody crossovers like the Honda Pilot when the tarmac ends. Furthermore, the Prado's air conditioning system is widely regarded as the most robust in its class, a non-negotiable factor during the peak Gulf summer.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 2.4L turbo petrol typically averages around 10.6 km/L, though heavy AC usage in city traffic may result in lower figures. Service intervals are typically set at 10,000 km, and Toyota's authorized network is the most extensive in the GCC, ensuring parts are readily available even in remote areas. Historically, the Prado enjoys one of the lowest depreciation rates in the region, often retaining over 80% of its value after three years of ownership.

Performance & Capability

The 2.4L turbocharged engine delivers 430 Nm of torque, providing a more responsive mid-range punch than the previous generation's naturally aspirated V6. Its full-time 4WD system and center differential lock are standard, complemented by a 221 mm ground clearance that handles rugged wadis with ease. On the highway, the new 8-speed automatic transmission ensures the vehicle remains settled at high cruising speeds, making the drive between Emirates significantly quieter.

Comfort & Cabin

The seven-seat layout is designed with family logistics in mind, featuring a 60:40 split-and-tumble second row for easy access to the back. Triple-zone climate control with dedicated rear vents ensures all passengers remain cool, while the synthetic leather seats are specifically treated to withstand high cabin temperatures. The integrated cool box in the center console is a quintessential GCC feature, keeping beverages chilled during long-distance highway hauls.

Safety

The 2026 Prado comes equipped with a comprehensive suite of safety features, including multiple airbags, Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), and Traction Control (TRC) to maintain grip on gravel and sand. Active systems such as Hill-start Assist Control and Downhill Assist Control provide extra confidence during steep terrain transitions. GCC-spec models are further enhanced with high-performance cooling systems for the brakes and powertrain to maintain safety standards during extreme heat.

The bottom line

This 2026 Prado is a prime opportunity for a buyer seeking the latest generation of a GCC icon in its most resilient color. It offers the perfect mix of modern tech and old-school durability, making it a safe financial and mechanical investment.
