Summary

This 2027 Cullinan in the elusive Black Badge trim offers a rare opportunity to skip the multi-year waiting list for a near-delivery-mileage example. Finished in the highly sought-after black-on-black aesthetic, it commands the strongest resale value in the GCC luxury market. As the performance-oriented 'alter ego' of the standard Cullinan, it provides a more assertive driving character without sacrificing the brand's legendary magic carpet ride. For the GCC buyer, this remains the definitive statement of automotive achievement, blending effortless V12 power with an air suspension system specifically engineered to isolate passengers from heat-distorted road surfaces and high-speed highway vibrations.

This Car vs Other 2027 Cullinans

With just 50 km on the odometer, this example is effectively a new vehicle, positioned well below the typical GCC annual mileage of 20,000 km. While many 2027 models are still tied to factory orders, this car is available for immediate ownership. Its black exterior is the most preferred color for high-end luxury resale in the region, ensuring better value retention compared to more experimental bespoke palettes.

BLACK BADGE vs Lower Trims

The Black Badge trim is a comprehensive mechanical and aesthetic upgrade over the standard Cullinan. It features a bespoke exhaust system for a more authoritative V12 note and a re-engineered drivetrain that delivers 900 Nm of torque. Inside, it swaps traditional wood veneers for Technical Carbon fiber and adds the distinctive 'Infinity' lemniscate symbol, alongside black-chrome exterior brightwork that better resists the pitting and dulling often seen on standard chrome in high-humidity coastal GCC climates.

Cullinan vs Segment Rivals

While rivals like the Bentley Bentayga Speed and Lamborghini Urus focus on Nürburgring times, the Cullinan leads the segment in total cabin isolation and vertical wheel travel. Its 100-liter fuel tank is specifically advantageous for long-distance cross-border drives between Dubai and Riyadh. Furthermore, the Individual Seat configuration provides a fixed glass partition between the cabin and luggage compartment, a feature no competitor offers, ensuring the air conditioning remains perfectly consistent even when the boot is opened in 50°C heat.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption averages approximately 16.4 L/100km, which is expected for a 12-cylinder powertrain in GCC stop-start traffic. Service is dictated by a Condition Based Service (CBS) system, typically requiring attention every 12,000 to 15,000 km at authorized Rolls-Royce centers available in every major GCC capital. The Cullinan currently enjoys the lowest depreciation rate in the ultra-luxury SUV segment, often retaining over 85% of its value after three years in the UAE market.

Performance & Capability

The 6.75-liter V12 produces 563 hp and a massive 900 Nm of torque, allowing this 2.7-tonne SUV to reach 100 km/h in just 5.2 seconds. The 'Everywhere' button activates the most sophisticated off-road software in the world, managing the AWD system and air suspension to navigate soft sand and gravel with ease. It maintains a 540mm wading depth, providing confidence during the region's occasional but heavy seasonal rains.

Comfort & Cabin

This 4-seat configuration features the Individual Seat layout, including a center console with a refrigerated champagne cooler and bespoke whiskey decanter. The cabin is equipped with ventilated seats and a high-performance climate control system designed to neutralize extreme desert heat in minutes. The Starlight Headliner, featuring thousands of fiber-optic lights, provides a unique ambient experience during long evening drives across the Emirates.

Safety

The Cullinan comes standard with a comprehensive ADAS suite including Night Vision with pedestrian and wildlife detection, essential for unlit desert highways. It features a high-resolution 360° camera system, active cruise control, and collision warning systems that provide a vital safety net in fast-moving multi-lane traffic. The heavy-duty aluminum spaceframe architecture provides exceptional structural integrity that surpasses many of its lighter competitors.

The bottom line

For the elite collector or executive, this Black Badge Cullinan represents the peak of SUV ownership, offering immediate delivery of a 2027 model in the region's most desirable specification.
