XPENG P7+ Launched In The UAE At AED 164,000

XPENG has officially launched the P7+ in the UAE, expanding its local electric vehicle line-up with a large five-seat fastback designed around long-distance comfort, rapid charging and advanced technology.

The XPENG P7+ price in the UAE starts at AED 164,000, with the model offered in RWD Long Range and AWD Performance configurations. Gulf Star Motors, part of Ali & Sons, distributes XPENG vehicles in the UAE, with showrooms in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

How Much Does The XPENG P7+ Cost In The UAE?

The official local range of the P7+ currently lists two versions:

• XPENG P7+ RWD Long Range
• XPENG P7+ AWD Performance

The P7+ joins the G6, G9 and X9 in XPENG’s expanding UAE passenger-car range.

What Powers The XPENG P7+?

Both versions use a 74.9kWh lithium iron phosphate battery. The RWD Long Range features a single rear electric motor producing 308hp and 450Nm, while the AWD Performance uses two motors producing a combined 496hp and 670Nm.

The performance version weighs around 2,200kg, compared to approximately 2,100kg for the rear-wheel-drive model.

How Fast Can The XPENG P7+ Charge?

This is one of the P7+’s biggest highlights. It uses an 800V electrical architecture with 5C battery technology, allowing a peak DC charging rate of up to 446kW. Under suitable conditions and when connected to a compatible high-power charger, XPENG claims the battery can charge from 10% to 80% in around 12 minutes.

An 11kW AC onboard charger is provided for slower home and destination charging. The vehicle also supports Vehicle-to-Load (V2L), allowing energy stored in the battery to power compatible external devices. The LFP chemistry also avoids nickel and cobalt in the battery cells, while the battery pack has been tested against 37 different safety standards.

How Big Is The XPENG P7+?

Despite its coupe-inspired profile, the P7+ is a large car. At more than five metres long, it sits firmly in executive-car territory.

What Does The XPENG P7+ Look Like?

The P7+ uses a low and aerodynamic fastback shape with a gently sloping roofline. Design details include full-width lighting, flush door handles, frameless styling elements and a double-layer rear spoiler.

Its aerodynamic body achieves a claimed 0.211Cd drag coefficient, helping reduce energy consumption at higher speeds.

UAE buyers can choose from colours including:

• Graphite Grey
• Arctic White
• Midnight Black

The cabin is available with dark or light grey themes.

What Is The XPENG P7+ Interior Like?

XPENG has placed significant emphasis on passenger comfort, particularly for rear-seat passengers. The cabin can be equipped with perforated Nappa leather seats, a microfibre headliner and extensive sound insulation. 

XPENG says the P7+ uses 62 targeted noise-reduction areas, 26 cavity barriers and 36 sound-absorbing components to reduce road and wind noise.

Front-seat equipment includes:

• 12-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat
• 10-way electrically adjustable front passenger seat
• Seat heating
• Seat ventilation
• Massage function
• Memory settings

Unusually for this class, the rear seats can also feature heating, ventilation and massage functions, making the P7+ particularly focused on passenger comfort.

Other equipment includes automatic climate control with a heat pump, PM2.5 monitoring, N95-grade cabin filtration, a panoramic glass roof with a heat-insulating layer, 256-colour ambient lighting and dual 50W ventilated wireless phone chargers.

What Technology Does The P7+ Get?

The dashboard centres around a 15.6-inch infotainment touchscreen, accompanied by an 8.8-inch digital instrument display, an 8-inch rear control screen and a head-up display.

It supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with voice control, connected navigation, smartphone access, and over-the-air software updates. The audio system is a 20-speaker XPENG XOPERA setup.

More importantly, the latest P7+ uses XPENG’s proprietary Turing AI chip architecture, offering up to 750 TOPS of computing performance. This processing power is used for vehicle perception, driver assistance and future software-based functionality.

What Suspension Does The XPENG P7+ Use?

Underneath, the P7+ uses a double-wishbone independent front suspension and five-link independent rear suspension.

This is a more sophisticated layout than a conventional MacPherson-strut arrangement and is designed to balance ride comfort with better wheel control during cornering. Ventilated disc brakes are fitted at both ends, together with XPENG’s integrated OneBox braking system.
