Bentley Announces New Milestone — All Bentley Dealerships In The Middle East, Africa & India Regions Are Carbon Neutral

All of Bentley’s dealerships in the Middle East, Africa & India have achieved carbon neutrality. Bentley has announced that its 17 dealerships in the aforementioned regions are now carbon neutral. This is a major milestone on Bentley’s road to becoming a completely carbon-neutral brand by 2030.

Going green is the need of the hour. Manufacturers and buyers have both recognised the need for cleaner and greener vehicles and hence there is an uptick in the development of electric vehicles, hybrids, and even hydrogen-powered vehicles. However, a few manufacturers have understood that going green doesn’t apply only to the vehicles they manufacture.

Bentley is one of the few manufacturers to have voiced the need for greener dealerships and showrooms around the world. It is a part of the British brand’s carbon-neutrality goals for 2030. Car dealerships often consume a lot of power and have indirect carbon emissions.

Bentley had planned to cut down on emissions from dealerships and set 2025 as the deadline for all dealerships to be carbon-neutral. In 2022, Bentley’s dealerships in the Middle East, Africa & India worked closely with the Carbon Trust to measure carbon emissions and work on ways to reduce them. Over the entire year and the first few months of this year, this goal has been achieved. The 17 Bentley dealerships in the aforementioned regions are now carbon-neutral.

Richard Leopold, Bentley’s Regional Director for the Middle East and UK said, “Sustainability remains a key focus for our customers, who share our Beyond100 commitment to becoming end-to-end carbon neutral by 2030. I am very proud that Bentley has become the first automotive company in the Middle East, Africa, and India region to achieve this milestone with Carbon Trust.”

In the UAE, Bentley has dealerships in Abu Dhabi & Dubai. In Saudi Arabia, there are Bentley dealerships in Al Khobar, Jeddah & Riyadh, while Bahrain, Egypt, Lebanon, Kuwait, Oman, and Qatar have one dealership each. In addition, there are three in India and three more in Africa.

Bentley certainly seems to be on a roll. More recently, Bentley announced an 82 percent increase in profit. Bentley’s cars are also extremely popular in the UAE due to the unique combination of opulence and performance they offer.
