Here is a first-look article on the new Nissan Patrol Y63 SUV.

2025 Nissan Patrol Showcased In Dubai

In an exclusive showcase held at the Emirates Golf Club on the 7th & 8th of September, Arabian Automobiles Company, part of the AW Rostamani Group, unveiled two top-spec models of the new 2025 Nissan Patrol. These are the only examples currently available, and they will embark on a regional tour to showcase the 2025 Patrol in various GCC countries.

History

The Nissan Patrol has a rich history dating back to 1951. It was initially designed as a rugged, off-road vehicle for military use. Its durability and reliability quickly made it popular for civilian applications, especially in harsh environments.

Over the years, the Patrol has evolved, adapting to changing market demands and technological advancements. Read the complete history of the Nissan Patrol in this linked article.

Design

Nissan‘s latest iteration of the Patrol is a striking blend of heritage and modernity. The SUV’s exterior design is a testament to the brand’s commitment to both rugged capability and premium aesthetics.

Key highlights of the new Patrol’s exterior include:

  • Enhanced V-motion Grille: A wider, more integrated grille that dominates the front fascia.
  • Adaptive Driving Beam Headlights: Ensuring optimal visibility in various lighting conditions.
  • Full-width Rear Lightbar: A matching element to the front grille, emphasizing the SUV’s width.
  • 22-inch Alloy Wheels: Providing a formidable stance and high ground clearance.
  • Seven Exterior Colours: Including four two-tone options for added personalisation.

Attention to thoughtful design details is evident with the introduction of a Puddle Lamp that activates as occupants approach the vehicle, illuminating a motif of the iconic Nissan Patrol silhouette along with the text “Since 1951,” paying homage to the SUV’s enduring legacy.

Dimensions

The new patrol is now 5,205mm in length (+35mm), 2,030mm in width (+35mm), and 1,955m in height (unchanged). The wheelbase is the same at 3,075mm as the outgoing model. However, the boot space is 30 percent more than in the Y62. It has a ground clearance of 253mm, 18mm more than its rival — the Toyota Land Cruiser 300. However, it is lower than the outgoing generation’s 273mm.

Interiors

The 2025 Nissan Patrol’s interior redefines luxury and comfort with a meticulously crafted cabin that merges premium materials and advanced technology. It features quilted leather seats inspired by the Japanese Kumiko craft, with select trims offering massage functionality and eight-way adjustment for optimal comfort.

The expansive cabin, highlighted by a standard panoramic sunroof, provides exceptional space, especially in the second and third rows, making it ideal for families.
