Jaguar E-TYPE

Few sports cars have achieved the legendary status of the Jaguar E-Type. Universally admired for its breathtaking design and remarkable engineering, it redefined the performance car when it was introduced and remains one of the most iconic automobiles ever built. More than sixty years later, the E-Type continues to embody the elegance, performance and spirit of Britain’s golden era of motoring.

Penned by the brilliant Malcolm Sayer, the E-Type drew directly from Jaguar’s Le Mans-winning D-Type, combining advanced engineering with sculptural beauty in a way few cars have ever matched. The Series 1 4.2 is widely regarded as the most desirable evolution of the original model, pairing the legendary 4.2-litre XK engine with a fully synchromesh four-speed manual gearbox for a driving experience that is both refined and deeply rewarding.

Finished in the timeless combination of Carmen Red over a beautifully appointed Tan leather interior, this 1967 Convertible perfectly captures the glamour and character that have made the E-Type an enduring automotive icon. Chrome wire wheels, knock-off spinners and beautifully finished brightwork complement its flowing lines, while the open-top configuration offers an unforgettable way to experience one of the world’s greatest sports cars.

Powered by Jaguar’s celebrated naturally aspirated inline-six, this exceptional example delivers the smooth performance, unmistakable soundtrack and mechanical purity that continue to define the E-Type experience. Currently in the process of obtaining its Jaguar Heritage Certificate, it is accompanied by its original tool kit, owner’s manuals and an extensive history file, reflecting the care and attention it has received throughout its life.

Beautifully presented and increasingly sought after by collectors worldwide, the Series 1 4.2 remains one of the defining sports cars of the twentieth century. Combining timeless design, engineering excellence and the joy of open-air motoring, this outstanding example is equally suited to spirited driving, concours events or a distinguished private collection.
