Summary

This GCC-spec Infiniti FX35 represents a balanced choice for buyers seeking performance and long-term reliability in the UAE. With mileage significantly below the local annual average for its age, it offers a mechanical longevity advantage that's highly prized in the pre-owned market. The brown exterior is a sophisticated, heat-resistant choice that holds neutral-to-strong resale liquidity compared to niche colors. As a sports-focused crossover, it bridges the gap between a family SUV and a performance sedan, offering a sharp driving experience that rivals struggle to match. Its proven V6 powertrain is perfectly suited for high-speed highway cruising and managing the intense heat of the region.

This Car vs Other 2009 FX35s

At 108,000 km, this vehicle has averaged roughly 7,200 km per year, which is exceptionally low compared to the GCC average of 20,000–25,000 km. This lower-than-usual wear provides a significant advantage for engine and transmission health. In the local market, such low-mileage examples are considered premium finds that retain their value far better than higher-usage alternatives.

STANDARD vs Lower Trims

The 2009 model year marked a complete overhaul for the FX, ensuring even the standard trim is highly equipped with features GCC buyers prioritize, such as a 7-speed automatic transmission and intelligent all-wheel drive. It includes essential regional features like high-output climate control and a premium Bose audio system that often cost extra in competitor base models. The inclusion of the 360-degree Around View Monitor as a standard feature on this generation makes it much easier to park in tight city spaces.

FX35 vs Segment Rivals

When compared to rivals like the BMW X5 or Lexus RX, the FX35 stands out for its driver-centric chassis and 'shark-nose' styling. It offers a larger 90-litre fuel tank than many competitors, providing a total range of approximately 700 km, which is ideal for cross-emirate drives. While European rivals often face steeper maintenance costs in the UAE, this Infiniti benefits from Nissan's shared mechanical components and a robust local service network.

Running Costs & Resale

The 3.5-litre V6 is a staple of the region, known for its ability to handle 5W-30 synthetic oil and high ambient temperatures with ease. Owners can expect real-world fuel consumption of approximately 10.8 L/100km on the highway, though stop-start city traffic in Dubai or Riyadh will see this rise. As a GCC-spec vehicle, it avoids the insurance and warranty complications often associated with American imports, ensuring it holds its value at a steady annual depreciation rate of 10-12%.

Performance & Capability

Powered by the award-winning VQ-series engine, this FX35 delivers 303 hp and reaches 100 km/h in just 6.5 seconds, offering the acceleration of a sports car. The 7-speed automatic transmission features downshift rev-matching, which provides a responsive feel during highway overtaking. The intelligent all-wheel-drive system primarily drives the rear wheels to maintain a sporty feel but can divert up to 50% of power to the front for stability on sand-slicked roads.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed around a five-seat layout with leather upholstery and multi-zone climate control that is purpose-built to combat 45°C+ summer peaks. Acoustic glass helps insulate passengers from both external heat and high-speed wind noise, creating a refined environment for long-distance travel. The driver-focused cockpit features a start button and paddle shifters, emphasizing the vehicle's performance-luxury heritage.

Safety

This trim is equipped with a comprehensive safety suite including 4-wheel ABS, Electronic Brakeforce Distribution, and Traction Control, which are vital for maintaining grip on gravel or during sudden rain showers. The 360-degree camera system provides a bird’s-eye view, significantly reducing blind spots which is a genuine advantage on fast-moving multi-lane highways. Multiple airbags and a high-strength chassis contribute to its strong safety standing in the luxury crossover segment.

The bottom line

This is a rare opportunity to own a low-mileage, GCC-spec performance SUV that combines Japanese reliability with a sports sedan soul, making it perfect for the enthusiast who needs family practicality.
