Summary

This 2014 Infiniti QX60 Premium represents a sophisticated entry into the seven-seater luxury SUV market, combining Japanese reliability with an executive cabin experience. With its 3.5-litre V6 engine, it provides a smooth, linear power delivery that is perfectly suited for long-distance cruising between Emirates. The Premium trim is particularly desirable in the GCC used market as it includes high-value tech like the Around View Monitor and Bose audio which significantly improve daily usability. For families in the region, the standout feature remains its exceptionally flexible seating system, allowing easy third-row access even with child seats installed. This is a robust choice for buyers seeking premium comfort and proven durability without the steeper depreciation of European rivals.

This Car vs Other 2014 QX60s

With 221,000 km on the odometer, this vehicle has been driven roughly 18,400 km per year, which is comfortably below the 20,000–25,000 km annual average typical for the GCC. This lower-than-average usage for its 12 years of age suggests more time spent on city commutes than punishing cross-border hauls. The Grey exterior is a neutral and practical choice for the region, maintaining its look well despite the dusty environment and holding steady resale value compared to more niche colors.

PREMIUM vs Lower Trims

The Premium trim significantly elevates the QX60 experience over the base models by adding the 13-speaker Bose Cabin Surround sound system and the highly regarded Around View Monitor with Moving Object Detection. It also includes driver seat memory and reverse tilt-down mirrors, features that add substantial convenience in shared family vehicles. These technical additions make the Premium trim much more competitive at resale in the UAE compared to the more basic entry-level configurations.

QX60 vs Segment Rivals

The QX60 leads competitors like the Acura MDX and Lexus RX in terms of third-row accessibility and cabin flexibility, thanks to its second-row seat that slides forward even with a child seat attached. While rivals might focus on sportier handling, the Infiniti prioritizes ride comfort and isolation from road noise, which is a major advantage during high-temperature summer drives in the GCC. Its 74-litre fuel tank also provides a competitive highway range for long-distance desert travel.

Running Costs & Resale

The 3.5-litre V6 is a well-known powertrain in the region, benefiting from an extensive authorized service network across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, which keeps maintenance costs predictable. Real-world fuel consumption averages around 11.6 L/100km, which is standard for a V6-powered seven-seater in GCC stop-start traffic. Parts availability is excellent due to shared mechanicals with other Nissan-group vehicles, contributing to a slower depreciation rate of approximately 10-12% annually compared to the faster 15%+ drop seen in equivalent European luxury SUVs.

Performance & Capability

Equipped with the 265 hp V6, the QX60 offers a refined 0-100 km/h sprint in approximately 8.8 seconds, providing confident overtaking power on fast-moving highways like the E11. The CVT transmission is tuned for smoothness rather than sportiness, ensuring a jerk-free experience for all seven passengers during city driving. While strictly road-biased, its stable chassis and selectable drive modes—including a Snow/Slippery mode—provide added security on sand-dusted roads or during rare heavy rain events.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed for GCC family logistics, featuring a genuine three-row layout with dedicated rear climate control vents to keep all passengers cool in extreme heat. The Premium trim features leather-appointed seating with heated front seats and a power-adjustable steering wheel to find the perfect driving position. Acoustic glass and high-quality insulation help maintain a quiet environment, shielding the interior from the external heat and wind noise typical of desert highway travel.

Safety

Safety is a hallmark of this trim, which comes standard with a 360-degree Around View Monitor that makes parking this large SUV in tight urban spaces far safer. The QX60 features a comprehensive 6-airbag system and electronic stability control as standard. For highway safety, the vehicle includes brake assist and traction control, systems that are particularly effective on the UAE's high-speed multi-lane roads.

The bottom line

For a family seeking a reliable 7-seater with premium features, this GCC-spec QX60 offers excellent value, combining a well-documented service network with the high-spec Premium trim features.
