Summary

This 12-year-old Infiniti QX60 remains a compelling family choice in the GCC, offering a premium seven-seat experience without the high maintenance of European rivals. The white exterior is the gold standard for resale value in the UAE and Saudi markets, efficiently reflecting the desert sun to keep cabin temperatures manageable. With its all-wheel-drive system and smooth V6, it bridges the gap between city luxury and long-distance desert highway stability. For a buyer seeking reliable Japanese engineering and a high-specification cabin at a value-driven price point, this GCC-spec example is a practical alternative to a new mid-range crossover.

This Car vs Other 2014 QX60s

At 190,000 km, this vehicle sits within the expected mileage range for a car of this age in the GCC, where long-distance commutes between Emirates often result in higher annual use than global averages. The white exterior provides a significant advantage for local resale and thermal efficiency compared to darker-colored equivalents. Being a GCC-spec model, it features the cooling and filtration systems necessary for the region's extreme summer heat.

PREMIUM vs Lower Trims

The Premium trim significantly upgrades the ownership experience over the base model with the inclusion of the 13-speaker Bose audio system and a heated steering wheel, which is a rare but welcome touch for colder desert winter mornings. It also adds driver memory settings and power-folding heated mirrors, features that are highly valued in the GCC used market. These additions elevate the QX60 from a standard family hauler to a genuine luxury crossover.

QX60 vs Segment Rivals

The QX60 is often cross-shopped with the Lexus RX and the Acura MDX. It leads the Lexus in practical family utility thanks to its genuinely usable third row and more intuitive access system for rear passengers. Compared to European rivals like the BMW X5, the Infiniti offers a much larger 73.8-litre fuel tank, providing superior range for long cross-country drives across the UAE and Saudi Arabia.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption typically averages around 11.6 L/100km, which is competitive for a V6-powered seven-seater in GCC stop-start traffic. As a Japanese luxury brand, Infiniti enjoys a robust authorized service network across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, ensuring parts are readily available. While it depreciates slightly faster than a Toyota, its high initial specification ensures it maintains a stable value floor in the local second-hand market.

Performance & Capability

The 3.5L V6 produces 265 hp and 336 Nm of torque, allowing for confident highway overtaking even when fully loaded with seven passengers. The all-wheel-drive system provides added stability on gravel-strewn desert roads and during the rare but heavy regional rainstorms. It maintains a 2,268 kg (5,000 lbs) braked towing capacity, making it a capable choice for weekend jet-ski or trailer trips.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed for GCC family logistics, featuring a sliding second row that allows easy access to the third row even with a child seat installed. Tri-zone automatic climate control is standard, ensuring dedicated cooling for rear passengers during the peak of summer. The interior is insulated with acoustic glass to provide a quiet, refined environment during high-speed highway cruising.

Safety

This trim includes a comprehensive safety suite featuring front, side, and curtain airbags to protect all three rows. Standard stability and traction control systems are specifically tuned to handle the variable grip levels found on sandy or sun-baked asphalt. The inclusion of a rearview monitor and front/rear sonar assist in navigating tight parking spaces in busy urban centers like Dubai or Riyadh.

The bottom line

This is an ideal opportunity for a large family looking for a high-spec, reliable luxury SUV that is fully prepared for the unique demands of the GCC climate.
