Summary

This 2014 E300 Convertible is a sophisticated open-top tourer that balances timeless Mercedes-Benz elegance with the mechanical robustness of a naturally aspirated 3.5L V6. With 95,000 km over its 12-year lifespan, it has been driven significantly less than the typical 240,000 km expected for a car of this age in the GCC, making it a rare find for those seeking longevity. The silver exterior is a top-tier choice for resale in the region, reflecting heat efficiently and maintaining a clean profile even in dusty conditions. As a facelifted A207 model, it benefits from the sharper LED headlight design and upgraded interior tech that keeps it feeling contemporary against much newer rivals. For the GCC buyer, this is an ideal grand tourer for the winter season, offering a refined cabin and a prestigious road presence without the complexity of newer turbocharged systems.

This Car vs Other 2014 E300s

At 95,000 km, this vehicle’s mileage is exceptionally low for the GCC market, where 12-year-old cars often exceed 200,000 km. The silver finish provides a distinct advantage for local resale, as it is one of the most sought-after colors in the UAE and Saudi Arabia for its heat-deflection properties. Compared to average listings, this example’s combination of low usage and a high-demand color makes it a stand-out opportunity.

STANDARD vs Lower Trims

While labeled as the standard trim for the 3.5L V6, this model comes equipped with features that are often optional on smaller engine variants, such as the AIRCAP wind deflector system and the AIRSCARF neck-level heating. It also features the upgraded 7G-TRONIC PLUS transmission and the high-resolution COMAND infotainment screen. These additions provide a level of comfort and cabin insulation that smaller-engine trims simply cannot match during long highway drives.

E300 vs Segment Rivals

The E300 stands apart from rivals like the BMW 4 Series Convertible and Audi A5 Cabriolet by prioritizing ride comfort and cabin volume over aggressive sportiness. Its 3.5L naturally aspirated V6 offers a smoother power delivery and simpler long-term maintenance compared to the turbocharged units found in its German competitors. Additionally, the E-Class soft-top is renowned for its superior acoustic insulation, making it one of the quietest convertibles on the market with the roof up.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for this 3.5L V6 averages approximately 10.2L/100km in the city and 7.2L/100km on the highway, making it an efficient cruiser for inter-emirate travel. As a Korean regional spec car, buyers should verify service history with local specialists, though Mercedes-Benz parts are widely available across the UAE and the wider GCC. This model year has already cleared its steepest depreciation curve, meaning it offers excellent value retention for a luxury convertible.

Performance & Capability

The 252 hp V6 provides effortless highway overtaking, reaching a top speed of 250 km/h with ease. The rear-wheel-drive layout ensures a classic driving feel, while the 0-100 km/h sprint of 7.2 seconds is perfectly suited for an executive grand tourer. The suspension is tuned specifically for comfort, absorbing road imperfections on long desert highways while maintaining composed handling through coastal bends.

Comfort & Cabin

The four-seat layout is genuinely usable for adults, featuring high-quality materials and an ergonomic dashboard updated during the 2014 facelift. For the GCC climate, the air conditioning system is exceptionally powerful, complemented by the AIRCAP system which minimizes turbulence and heat entry when the top is down. The 300-litre boot provides sufficient space for weekend getaways, even with the roof stowed.

Safety

This E300 is equipped with Mercedes-Benz's comprehensive safety suite, including ATTENTION ASSIST to monitor driver fatigue and PRE-SAFE technology which prepares the cabin for a collision. It features dual roll-over protection bars that deploy in milliseconds if a tilt is detected, alongside a full array of airbags designed specifically for the convertible body. These systems provide peace of mind during fast-moving GCC highway traffic.

The bottom line

For the executive buyer seeking a low-mileage, prestigious convertible, this silver E300 offers the perfect blend of German refinement and long-term reliability at a fraction of its original cost.
