Summary

This 2015 Nissan Patrol SE T2 is the definitive choice for GCC families who require a mix of urban prestige and desert readiness. The robust 5.6-litre V8 engine is highly regarded for its longevity and is engineered for high-duty cycles and long-distance highway travel. As a GCC-spec model, it features heavy-duty cooling systems designed specifically to handle extreme summer peaks without compromise. With its black exterior—a high-demand color in the regional market—this vehicle represents a strategic buy that balances luxury features with legendary ruggedness. Owners in the region benefit from unparalleled parts availability and a service network that spans every major city.

This Car vs Other 2015 Patrols

With 163,000 km, this vehicle sits comfortably below the typical GCC annual average of 20,000–25,000 km, making it a lower-usage example for its age. The black exterior is a primary resale color in the local market, ensuring it maintains a value premium over less conventional shades. While many Patrols of this era are pushed to their limits in the dunes, this unit's condition suggests a life spent largely on the Emirates' well-maintained highways.

SE T2 vs Lower Trims

The SE T2 trim provides a significant equipment upgrade over the base XE and SE T1 variants, most notably adding a power sunroof and integrated roof rails for a more rugged aesthetic. Interior convenience is enhanced with a remote engine starter and a powered tailgate, features that are highly valued in the GCC for managing summer heat and family logistics. It also steps up to a leather-wrapped steering wheel and upgraded infotainment compared to the entry-level cloth-seat trims.

Patrol vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the Toyota Land Cruiser 200 Series, the Patrol offers a plusher on-road ride and a more modern interior layout for the same model year. Its 140-litre fuel capacity is designed for long-distance cross-border drives, providing a range advantage that fewer rivals can match. While the Land Cruiser is a close competitor in technical off-roading, the Patrol's V8 powertrain delivers superior high-speed highway overtaking performance.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 5.6L V8 typically averages 16.7 L/100km, reflecting its capability as a full-size SUV in stop-start city traffic and high-speed cruising. Nissan's authorised service centers are ubiquitous across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Oman, keeping maintenance costs competitive compared to European luxury brands. This GCC-spec model holds approximately 60-70% of its value after three years, outperforming almost everything in its class except for the Land Cruiser.

Performance & Capability

The 317 hp V8 engine provides a torque-rich experience that makes the Patrol feel remarkably agile for its size, achieving 0-100 km/h in approximately 8.2 seconds. Its genuine off-road pedigree is supported by a dedicated low-range transfer case and selectable drive modes for sand, rock, and snow. A maximum braked towing capacity of 3,500 kg makes it an ideal companion for hauling trailers or boats across the region.

Comfort & Cabin

The eight-seat configuration is one of the most generous in the segment, featuring a third row that genuinely accommodates adults for long trips. The heavy-duty tri-zone climate control is specifically tropicalized for the Gulf, ensuring the cabin stays chilled even during 50-degree July afternoons. Additional comforts include the famous center console cool box (fridge), which keeps beverages ice-cold during long desert expeditions.

Safety

This trim includes a comprehensive safety suite featuring front and rear parking sensors coupled with a rearview camera for easier maneuvering in tight urban spaces. Standard safety systems include multiple airbags, ABS with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), and Hill Descent Control, which is particularly useful for maintaining stability on steep sand dunes or gravel tracks.

The bottom line

This Patrol is the ideal match for a family buyer seeking a durable, high-spec V8 that is perfectly adapted for the GCC climate and holds its value exceptionally well.
