Summary

This 2017 C300 Cabriolet is a refined open-top cruiser that balances Mercedes-Benz elegance with the aggressive aesthetics of the AMG styling package. With 153,000 km, its mileage reflects consistent highway use, common for premium commuters in the region, while its silver finish remains one of the most practical and high-resale colors for the local market. The AMG trim adds significant visual punch and 19-inch wheels, making it stand out against base models as a more assertive, sports-focused choice. For a buyer in the GCC, this American-spec model offers high-end features like the Airscarf neck-level heating at a more accessible entry point than its GCC-spec counterparts. It is an ideal car for those looking to enjoy the UAE’s outdoor season in a vehicle that maintains a prestigious presence on the road.

This Car vs Other 2017 C300s

At 153,000 km, this vehicle’s mileage is typical for a 2017 model used for daily commuting between emirates, where highway driving accounts for the bulk of the distance. Its silver exterior is a top-tier choice for the GCC, effectively hiding desert dust and reflecting heat better than darker alternatives, which directly supports its resale value. While American-spec, it carries the highly sought-after AMG styling and premium interior packages that are often priced significantly higher in the local used market.

AMG vs Lower Trims

The AMG trim elevates this C300 far beyond the base model with more aggressive front and rear aprons, 19-inch AMG multi-spoke wheels, and a sport-tuned suspension. Inside, it adds the premium Burmester audio system and the innovative Airscarf system, which blows warm air from the headrests to keep you comfortable during cooler evening drives with the top down. These features are highly valued by enthusiasts in the region who prioritize both curb appeal and cabin technology.

C300 vs Segment Rivals

The C300 Cabriolet competes directly with the BMW 4 Series Convertible and the Audi A5 Cabriolet, leading the group in cabin material quality and top-down technology. While its rivals focus on a firmer, track-ready feel, the Mercedes offers a superior balance of ride comfort and refinement, making it better suited for the long, straight highways of the UAE. Its 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission provides more gear ratios than most competitors, ensuring smoother cruising and better efficiency at high speeds.

Running Costs & Resale

This C300 returns a combined fuel consumption of approximately 9.1 L/100km, which is efficient for a premium convertible in stop-start city traffic. As an American-spec vehicle, it provides a cost-effective entry into the C-Class family, though buyers should note that resale prices for North American imports are generally lower than GCC-spec units. Service support is excellent across the UAE, with a vast network of independent specialists and parts suppliers making maintenance straightforward outside of the authorized agency.

Performance & Capability

The 2.0-liter turbocharged engine delivers 245 hp, propelling the convertible from 0–100 km/h in a brisk 7.0 seconds with a top speed electronically limited to 250 km/h. Its rear-wheel-drive configuration and 370 Nm of torque offer a classic European driving feel, providing plenty of punch for highway overtaking. Multiple drive modes, including Sport and Sport+, allow the driver to sharpen throttle response and steering weight to suit the twisting roads of Jebel Jais or the open lanes of Sheikh Zayed Road.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a four-seat layout featuring an acoustic soft top that provides impressive noise insulation, making it feel like a quiet coupe when closed. It is equipped with ventilated front seats—an essential feature for the local climate—and the COMAND infotainment system with a high-resolution display. The Airscarf and Aircap systems work together to minimize wind turbulence, ensuring a premium experience even when the roof is retracted during the afternoon sun.

Safety

Standard safety features on this trim include a 360-degree camera for effortless parking, blind-spot monitoring for safe lane changes on busy highways, and Mercedes-Benz’s Collision Prevention Assist Plus. It also features nine airbags and an active bonnet for pedestrian protection, ensuring it meets the high safety standards expected of a modern luxury convertible. These active systems provide peace of mind during the high-speed transit common between GCC cities.

The bottom line

This AMG-styled C300 is the perfect opportunity for a buyer seeking a high-spec Mercedes convertible at a competitive price, offering the perfect blend of style and luxury for the UAE's winter driving season.
