Summary

This 2017 Nissan Patrol NISMO offers a rare opportunity to own a performance-tuned version of the GCC's most iconic SUV with mileage that is typical for a long-distance cruiser in this region. Finished in White, the most resilient resale color in the Middle East, this NISMO edition stands out with its factory body kit and hand-tuned V8 engine. While the standard Patrol dominates as a family workhorse, the NISMO trim adds a sharper, more engaging driving dynamic through its upgraded Bilstein suspension. It remains a top choice for buyers who need the massive eight-seat utility of a Patrol but want the distinctive road presence of a motorsports-inspired flagship. For the GCC owner, this represents a blend of legendary Japanese reliability with the prestige of a limited-performance trim.

This Car vs Other 2017 Nissan Patrols

At 175,000 km, this vehicle reflects the typical lifecycle of a GCC-based highway cruiser, where annual averages of 25,000 km are common due to inter-emirate travel. While standard 2017 models often focus on pure utility, this NISMO edition retains a higher desirability factor due to its specialized tuning. The White exterior is a significant advantage for the local market, offering the best heat reflection and the strongest historical resale value.

NISMO vs Lower Trims

The NISMO trim sits above the LE Platinum, replacing the standard hydraulic body motion control with a performance-focused suspension system featuring yellow Bilstein shocks. It adds 28 hp to the 5.6L V8 and includes exclusive 22-inch forged alloy wheels, a signature red-accented body kit, and an Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel. Inside, it retains all the high-end GCC essentials found in the Platinum, including ventilated front seats and a 13-speaker Bose premium audio system.

Patrol vs Segment Rivals

The Patrol leads the Toyota Land Cruiser in cabin volume and seating, officially offering a usable eighth seat that rivals often lack. Its 140-litre fuel capacity (comprising a main and sub-tank) provides a significant range advantage for long desert highway drives compared to European luxury SUVs. While the Land Cruiser focuses on off-road crawl technology, the NISMO Patrol leads in on-road stability and high-speed refinement.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 5.6L V8 in GCC city traffic typically averages 16–18 L/100km, though this improves on long highway stretches. As a Nissan flagship, it benefits from one of the most extensive authorized service networks across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Oman, ensuring parts are readily available. The NISMO trim specifically maintains a stronger enthusiast following than standard trims, helping it retain value better than many European competitors in the same age bracket.

Performance & Capability

The hand-tuned 5.6-litre V8 produces 428 hp, enabling a 0–100 km/h sprint in approximately 6.5 seconds. The NISMO-specific aerodynamics include a rear diffuser and front splitters designed to minimize lift, making it exceptionally stable during high-speed highway cruises. Despite the sportier suspension, it retains a full-size spare wheel and a low-range transfer case, keeping it capable of weekend desert excursions when required.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is engineered for the extreme GCC climate, featuring a powerful triple-zone climate control system with dedicated vents for all three rows. The 8-seat layout is upholstered in premium leather with NISMO-specific red stitching, and the front seats are both powered and ventilated to handle summer heat. Acoustic glass and thick insulation ensure that even at highway speeds, the cabin remains quiet and isolated from road noise.

Safety

This trim is equipped with a comprehensive safety suite including a 360-degree Around View Monitor, which is essential for maneuvering a vehicle of this size in tight city spaces. Active safety features include Forward Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning, and Blind Spot Monitoring, all of which provide vital assistance on fast-moving GCC highways. The inclusion of six airbags and electronic stability control tuned for both road and sand surfaces ensures robust protection for all eight passengers.

The bottom line

This is the ideal choice for a buyer seeking the ultimate GCC status symbol that combines eight-seat practicality with genuine NISMO performance pedigree.
