Summary

This 2019 Jaguar XJ 50 LWB is a rare anniversary edition that marks the final year of production for this legendary British flagship. With just over 100,000 km, its mileage is significantly lower than the GCC average of 25,000 km per year, representing a well-preserved example of Jaguar's lightweight aluminum luxury. The Blue exterior is a sophisticated alternative to the common silver or white, maintaining strong executive appeal in the local market. For a buyer seeking the pinnacle of rear-seat comfort and a supercharged driving experience, this long-wheelbase special edition stands out as a unique collector's opportunity in the Emirates.

This Car vs Other 2019 XJs

At 102,000 km, this XJ has been driven roughly 20,000 km per year, which is notably below the typical 25,000 km annual average for executive sedans in the GCC. The XJ50 trim adds a layer of exclusivity that standard Portfolio models lack, making it a more desirable asset for long-term ownership. Its Blue finish offers a distinctive, premium aesthetic that holds its value well among private buyers looking for a standout flagship.

50 - LWB vs Lower Trims

The XJ50 anniversary edition elevates the long-wheelbase Portfolio experience with unique 20-inch Gloss Black Diamond Turned wheels and distinct XJ50 badging on the side vents and rear. Inside, you receive diamond-quilted leather seats with embossed leaper headrests and a special intaglio on the dashboard. It also standardizes the Comfort pack, including four-zone climate control and ventilated front and rear seats, which are essential for the GCC summer.

XJ vs Segment Rivals

The XJ leads rivals like the BMW 7 Series and Mercedes S-Class in agility thanks to its all-aluminum construction, making it feel much lighter on its feet through city traffic. Its 3.0L supercharged V6 offers more immediate throttle response than the turbocharged units found in the Audi A8. Furthermore, the 520-litre boot provides competitive storage for cross-border trips or golf outings across the UAE.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel economy for the supercharged V6 averages around 9.1 L/100km, though this will increase in stop-start Dubai or Riyadh traffic. As a GCC-spec model, it is fully supported by the extensive Al Tayer and Premier Motors service network, with parts readily available across the region. The XJ50 holds a unique position in the market; as a final-year special edition, it typically sees a more stable depreciation curve compared to base-spec European luxury rivals.

Performance & Capability

The 340 hp supercharged engine provides a linear power delivery that makes highway overtaking effortless on fast-moving roads like the E11. With a top speed of 250 km/h and a 0–100 km/h time of 5.9 seconds, it offers sports car performance in a limousine body. The rear-wheel-drive setup and adaptive dynamics ensure a plush ride that iron out imperfections even on long desert highway drives.

Comfort & Cabin

The long-wheelbase configuration provides an extra 121 mm of rear legroom, creating a genuine limousine environment for rear passengers. The cabin is specifically designed for the GCC climate, featuring a powerful four-zone air conditioning system and ventilated seats to ensure comfort during peak summer months. Acoustic glass and premium leather craftsmanship provide a serene escape from city noise, while the Meridian audio system delivers studio-quality sound.

Safety

This XJ comes equipped with a comprehensive safety suite including autonomous emergency braking, lane keep assist, and a 360-degree parking aid. Blind-spot monitoring is standard, which is particularly useful on the multi-lane highways of the UAE. The lightweight aluminum body structure provides high torsional rigidity, ensuring maximum protection for all five occupants.

The bottom line

For the executive who values British character and rarity, this low-mileage XJ50 anniversary edition offers a level of distinction and rear-seat luxury that standard German rivals simply cannot match.
