Owning a Porsche Cayman GTS impressively fulfils the sporting promises that the Porsche name implies while also maintaining high levels of luxury and quality. Getting more power and torque increases to lift it above the Cayman S. Distinguishing the car from the rest is easy. At the front there is a black spoiler running across its chin to match the restyled black air intakes on this model and a wonderfully revised lower rear apron. It also comes with black gloss finished 20” Carrera S alloy wheels, red painted brake callipers, apple car play, front/rear view camera, Sports exhaust system & a full alcantara interior.
Powering the GTS is a 2.5L turbo charged engine producing 350bhp & 420Nm of torque, getting up to 0-100 in 4.6 seconds with the PDK transmission which is sublimely slick & is a joy to use. You can feel the effects of the Sport Suspension through the steering, as there is just a bit more weight in your palms and the reactions immediately either side of the straight-ahead are more direct. It is away from town, though, where the chassis really comes into its own.
On the road that the Cayman is exceptionally well balanced and tight, the GTS seems happy to tackle any speed and never loses its composure. Then through a particular set of smoother corners the Cayman deals with quick left-right direction changes sublimely, never leaving you guessing as you load the suspension one way then the other. It will even allow you to brake deep into the corners and get the rear moving round so that you can pick up the throttle smartly as you hit the apex.
On the inside the centre stack is simple and the centre console has been decluttered compared to bigger Porsches such as the 911 or Panamera, though it has the same setup. The optional GTS sport seats on this model are extremely comfortable for long hauls and look amazing also.
