Summary

This 2020 Ferrari F8 Spider is a definitive example of Maranello’s mid-engine excellence, combining a low 1,200 km odometer reading with the iconic Rosso Corsa exterior that remains the gold standard for resale value in the GCC. As one of the final pure-combustion V8 models before Ferrari’s transition to hybrid powertrains, it offers a visceral driving experience that is rapidly becoming a collector's priority. The Retractable Hard Top allows for seamless transitions between a quiet, stiff coupe and an open-air supercar in just 14 seconds, even while moving. For a buyer in the UAE, this regional spec car ensures full compatibility with local service networks and offers a level of performance that is perfectly suited for the open stretches of the E11 or E311 highways.

This Car vs Other 2020 F8 Spiders

With only 1,200 km on the clock, this F8 Spider sits well below the average mileage for 2020 models in the UAE, which typically see 5,000 to 8,000 km per year. The classic red exterior is the most sought-after color in the GCC market, ensuring significantly stronger liquidity and value retention compared to niche shades. Choosing a GCC-spec example like this one provides essential peace of mind regarding cooling system calibration and long-term service history at authorized centers.

STANDARD vs Lower Trims

While the F8 Spider is offered in a focused range, this example features the essential driver-centric digital cockpit and the Manettino dial that unlocks the Ferrari Dynamic Enhancer (FDE+) system. It includes the highly desirable carbon-ceramic braking system as standard, providing fade-free performance in extreme summer heat. Many GCC buyers value the integrated telemetry and front-axle lift systems found on these well-equipped regional units, which help navigate the high speed bumps common in Dubai and Abu Dhabi residential areas.

F8 Spider vs Segment Rivals

The F8 Spider leads the Lamborghini Huracán Evo Spyder in pure torque and mid-range acceleration thanks to its twin-turbocharged setup, providing 770 Nm that makes highway overtaking effortless. Compared to the McLaren 720S Spider, the Ferrari offers a more iconic brand heritage and historically stronger residual values in the Middle East. Its Retractable Hard Top is noted for superior thermal insulation, a critical factor for maintaining cabin comfort during the GCC's peak summer months.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the F8 Spider averages approximately 13.0 L/100km on the highway, though this can rise significantly in stop-start city traffic in Dubai or Riyadh. Service intervals are typically scheduled every 10,000 km or annually, with the UAE benefiting from one of the most robust authorized Ferrari service networks in the world. As a non-hybrid V8, the F8 is currently seeing exceptional value retention in the local market, often outperforming the newer hybrid replacements as enthusiasts seek out the brand’s traditional powertrain heritage.

Performance & Capability

The 710 hp twin-turbo V8 is a masterpiece of engineering, delivering 0–100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds without a hint of turbo lag. The F8 Spider handles high-speed cruising with remarkable stability, reaching a verified top speed of 340 km/h where conditions permit. The FDE+ system allows drivers to manage lateral drifts with precision, making the car surprisingly approachable on technical roads while remaining a dominant force on track days at the Dubai Autodrome.

Comfort & Cabin

The 2-seat cockpit is a blend of fine leather and driver-focused ergonomics, featuring a compact steering wheel that houses all major controls to keep your eyes on the road. The powerful dual-zone climate control system is specifically designed to combat high ambient temperatures, ensuring the cabin stays chilled even with the top down during evening drives. Acoustic glass and the folding hardtop design provide impressive sound insulation, turning the F8 into a refined long-distance tourer for cross-emirate trips.

Safety

Standard safety features include high-performance carbon-ceramic brakes and an advanced traction control system (Side Slip Angle Control 6.1) that is vital for maintaining grip on sandy or dusty road surfaces. The car is equipped with front and side airbags, alongside electronic stability programs that have been tuned to provide a safety net without intruding on the performance experience. Blind-spot monitoring and front/rear parking sensors are typically standard on GCC models, assisting with navigation in heavy city traffic.

The bottom line

This low-mileage, GCC-spec F8 Spider represents a rare opportunity to own one of the last pure V8 Ferraris in the region's most desirable color combination.
