Summary

This 2020 Ferrari Portofino is a compelling acquisition for the GCC enthusiast, combining low mileage for its 6-year age with an versatile retractable hardtop design. Finished in a sophisticated blue, it serves as a daily-drivable grand tourer that transitions seamlessly into an open-top supercar for the cooler winter months. The twin-turbocharged V8 offers a visceral driving experience that remains refined enough for cross-emirate trips. With only 13,000 km, this example sits well below the typical GCC annual average, representing a significant opportunity for collectors and active drivers alike. For those seeking the perfect blend of Maranello performance and lifestyle flexibility, this listing stands out in the current market.

This Car vs Other 2020 Portofinos

At just 13,000 km, this Portofino has covered significantly less ground than the 20,000–25,000 km annual average typical for vehicles in the GCC. While many 6-year-old examples in the region are approaching the 100,000 km mark, this car retains the mechanical tightness and interior freshness of a much younger vehicle. The rare blue exterior also offers a distinctive alternative to the common red or white units often found in local showrooms.

STANDARD vs Lower Trims

The Portofino is delivered as a singular, highly-specified grand tourer, meaning the 'Standard' trim includes Ferrari's essential performance suite as standard. This includes the E-Diff3 electronic differential and the F1-Trac traction control system, which are vital for maintaining stability on high-speed desert highways. This specific example benefits from the carbon-ceramic braking system and the high-resolution 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, providing the modern cabin tech expected by GCC buyers.

Portofino vs Segment Rivals

The Portofino leads its primary rivals, the Bentley Continental GT V8 Convertible and the Aston Martin DB11 Volante, in pure performance and brand prestige. Its 3.5-second sprint to 100 km/h is faster than both competitors, and its retractable hardtop offers superior insulation against the extreme GCC summer heat compared to fabric roofs. The 80-litre fuel tank ensures sufficient range for long highway drives between Abu Dhabi and Dubai without frequent refueling stops.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption typically sits at 11.7 L/100km on a combined cycle, though this will increase in stop-start city traffic in Dubai or Riyadh. Service intervals are annual or every 20,000 km, and as a 2020 model, it may still benefit from the tail end of Ferrari’s 7-year Genuine Maintenance program, which is a major value-add in the GCC used market. Resale value for the Portofino remains robust locally, with typical annual depreciation for this segment sitting between 12-15%, lower than its British counterparts.

Performance & Capability

The heart of this machine is the award-winning 3.9-litre twin-turbo V8 producing 600 hp, propelling it to a top speed of 320 km/h. On the open roads of the UAE, the 7-speed dual-clutch transmission provides lightning-fast shifts that make highway overtaking effortless. The MagneRide dual-mode suspension system is particularly effective in the region, offering a 'Bumpy Road' setting that smooths out urban imperfections while remaining planted during high-speed cornering.

Comfort & Cabin

The 2+2 seating configuration makes this an ideal grand tourer for couples with small children or for providing extra cabin storage. Ferrari's powerful air conditioning system is designed to handle high ambient temperatures, ensuring the cabin remains chilled even when the sun is at its peak. Premium leather upholstery and a digital passenger display create an immersive executive environment, while the retractable roof operates in just 14 seconds at speeds up to 40 km/h.

Safety

Standard safety equipment includes a high-performance carbon-ceramic braking system and front and side airbags designed for open-top safety. Advanced stability control and the E-Diff3 system are crucial for managing 600 hp on varied road surfaces, including sand-dusted highways. The 360-degree camera and front/rear sensors are particularly useful for navigating tight parking structures in major GCC malls, protecting the car's low-slung bodywork.

The bottom line

This low-mileage 2020 Portofino is the ideal entry point for a GCC buyer looking for a modern Ferrari that balances daily usability with genuine supercar thrills. Its exceptional condition and high specification make it one of the most attractive grand tourers available in the region today.
