Summary

This 2020 Lexus LX570 Signature represents the final evolution of the legendary naturally aspirated V8 era, a factor that keeps its resale value exceptionally high in the GCC. With the Signature trim, you are getting the most prestigious aesthetic and equipment package available, featuring the distinct mesh grille and enhanced cabin materials. While the mileage reflects consistent use over its 6 years, these vehicles are engineered for 500,000 km lifespans, making it a highly reliable prospect for a second owner. The black exterior is a premier choice for the local market, ensuring it remains a sought-after asset. For a GCC buyer, this is the definitive balance of high-status presence and bulletproof mechanical durability.

This Car vs Other 2020 LX570s

At 6 years old with 152,000 km, this LX570 has been driven approximately 25,000 km per year, which aligns perfectly with the GCC average for large family SUVs used for inter-emirate travel. While lower-mileage examples exist, they often command a significant price premium that doesn't always reflect better mechanical health than a well-maintained highway cruiser like this one. The black exterior is one of the top three resale colors in the region, offering a distinct advantage over niche colors when it comes time to trade in.

SIGNATURE vs Lower Trims

The Signature trim is the peak of the LX570 range, adding a more aggressive sport-mesh grille and front/rear bumper spoilers that separate it from the standard and Luxury trims. Inside, it upgrades the experience with semi-aniline leather upholstery, a cooled center console for the summer heat, and the 19-speaker Mark Levinson Surround Sound system. It also standardizes the Rear Seat Entertainment system with dual 11.6-inch screens, which was often an expensive add-on for lower configurations.

LX570 vs Segment Rivals

Against the Range Rover or Cadillac Escalade, the LX570 stands out for its superior air conditioning performance and mechanical longevity in 50-degree heat. Its body-on-frame construction, shared with the Land Cruiser, gives it genuine desert-crossing capability that more road-biased luxury rivals cannot match. While the Escalade offers more cargo room, the Lexus is preferred in the GCC for its expansive service network and significantly lower long-term maintenance costs.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 5.7L V8 typically averages around 16.9 L/100km, though this can rise to 20 L/100km in heavy stop-start traffic in Dubai or Riyadh. Service intervals are every 10,000 km, and with the most extensive luxury service network in the Middle East, parts are readily available from Salwa to Muscat. The LX570 holds its value better than almost any other vehicle in its class, typically retaining 60-65% of its value even after five years of ownership in the GCC market.

Performance & Capability

The 381 hp V8 provides effortless, linear power delivery that is ideal for high-speed highway cruising and overtaking. It features a sophisticated Multi-Terrain Select system with Crawl Control and a low-range transfer case, allowing it to transition from a luxury mall-runner to a capable dune climber at the touch of a button. The Active Height Control (AHC) system allows the vehicle to raise its ground clearance to approximately 225mm to clear obstacles or lower it for easier passenger entry.

Comfort & Cabin

The eight-seat cabin is a masterclass in insulation, providing a whisper-quiet environment even at highway speeds. For the GCC climate, the ventilated front and second-row seats are essential, paired with a powerful four-zone climate control system that includes dedicated vents for all three rows. The cool box integrated into the center console is a local favorite, keeping beverages chilled during long desert drives.

Safety

Standard on the Signature trim is the Lexus Safety System+, which includes Pre-Collision System with pedestrian detection, All-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, and Lane Departure Alert. For city driving, the 360-degree Panoramic View Monitor and Blind Spot Monitor are indispensable for managing a vehicle of this size in tight parking or fast-moving highway traffic. A comprehensive 10-airbag system provides peace of mind for large families.

The bottom line

This is the ideal opportunity for a buyer seeking the ultimate GCC-spec flagship that combines a prestigious black-on-black aesthetic with the legendary reliability of the Lexus V8 engine.
