Summary

This 2020 Mercedes-Benz CLA250 represents the sleek C118 generation, offering a significantly more premium interior and sharper tech than its predecessor. With silver being one of the strongest resale colors in the GCC, this listing is positioned well for future value retention. The mileage of 104,000 km is perfectly average for a six-year-old vehicle in the UAE, where highway-heavy commuting is the norm. As a GCC-spec 4MATIC model, it provides the all-wheel-drive stability and local cooling capacity essential for the region's high-speed motorways and extreme summer heat. It remains a top choice for young professionals seeking a blend of high-fashion coupe styling with the reliability of a compact luxury platform.

This Car vs Other 2020 CLA250s

At 104,000 km, this vehicle has averaged roughly 17,300 km per year, which is below the typical 20,000–25,000 km GCC average for luxury commuters. This moderate usage, combined with a silver exterior—highly favored in the local used market for its heat-deflection properties and ease of maintenance—makes it a more practical long-term buy than darker alternatives. Finding a GCC-spec 4MATIC in this mileage range ensures the drivetrain has been maintained for local conditions rather than imported after a long life abroad.

STANDARD vs Lower Trims

While the entry-level CLA200 utilizes a smaller 1.3L engine, this CLA250 features the more robust 2.0L turbocharged unit and the 4MATIC all-wheel-drive system as standard. This provides a significant power bump and superior traction for high-speed lane changes on the E11. Standard features on this trim often include the MBUX widescreen cockpit and ambient lighting, which are the most sought-after interior upgrades for GCC buyers in this segment.

CLA250 vs Segment Rivals

The CLA250 stands out against rivals like the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe and Audi A3 with its 'mini-CLS' aesthetic and superior 460-liter boot, making it more practical for long weekends between Emirates. Its 4MATIC system offers more refined power delivery compared to the front-wheel-drive layouts commonly found in its competitors. Additionally, the Mercedes MBUX interface is widely considered the most visually impressive system in the compact luxury class.

Running Costs & Resale

The 2.0L turbo engine is efficient for its class, averaging roughly 6.7 L/100km on highway cruises between Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Service intervals are typically scheduled every 15,000 km or annually at authorized centers like Gargash or Al Haddad, which have an extensive presence across the UAE and the wider GCC. Resale value for the CLA remains strong, typically depreciating at a more predictable rate than larger luxury sedans due to high demand in the secondary market.

Performance & Capability

With a 0–100 km/h sprint of just 6.3 seconds, this coupe offers plenty of punch for urban overtaking and highway merging. The top speed of 250 km/h demonstrates the aerodynamic efficiency and engine headroom designed for long-distance travel. The 4MATIC all-wheel-drive system ensures the 208 hp is delivered smoothly even during rare rainy conditions or on the dusty surfaces common in the region.

Comfort & Cabin

The five-seat cabin is designed with a driver-centric focus, featuring sport-styled seating and a panoramic sunroof that opens up the interior feel. Mercedes-Benz air conditioning systems in GCC-spec models are specifically tuned for rapid cabin pull-down in 45°C+ weather. The 460-liter cargo area is surprisingly deep, easily accommodating golf clubs or large suitcases for airport runs.

Safety

This CLA250 comes equipped with an array of safety tech including Active Brake Assist and Attention Assist, which are particularly valuable on long, monotonous desert drives. The 4MATIC system provides an extra layer of active safety through enhanced grip during sudden maneuvers. Standard multiple airbags and high-strength steel construction contribute to its reputation for segment-leading occupant protection.

The bottom line

This is an ideal opportunity for a buyer looking for a modern, GCC-spec Mercedes with a healthy balance of mileage and a resale-friendly color profile. It offers the performance and tech of a current-gen luxury car at a much more accessible price point.
