Summary

This Land Cruiser represents the final and most refined years of the legendary 200-series, a vehicle synonymous with reliability across the Middle East. With mileage that aligns with typical GCC annual usage, this specific example has been maintained for the long-distance highway cruising it was built for. The white exterior is the region's most practical choice, offering superior heat reflection and the strongest resale potential in the local market. As a GXR trim with the 4.6L V8, it provides the ideal balance of smooth power and essential family comforts. For any buyer in the Emirates or Saudi Arabia, the combination of Toyota's bulletproof engineering and widespread parts availability makes this a risk-free investment for years to come.

This Car vs Other 2020 Land Cruisers

At 92,000 km, this vehicle sits right at the average for a four-year-old SUV in the GCC, where long-distance commutes are standard. Unlike high-mileage units that have spent their lives as desert rentals, this GCC-spec example shows the consistency of a well-cared-for family cruiser. The white finish is a major advantage here, as it remains the highest-demand color for used buyers from Dubai to Riyadh.

GXR vs Lower Trims

The GXR trim is a significant step up from the base EXR, adding highly sought-after features like a power-adjustable driver seat and a more sophisticated infotainment interface. Crucially for the GCC climate, it often includes upgraded dual-zone climate control and a refrigerator box in the center console. These additions, paired with the 20-inch alloy wheels, give the GXR a much stronger presence and better value retention than entry-level variants.

Land Cruiser vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the Nissan Patrol, the Land Cruiser offers legendary mechanical simplicity that leads to lower long-term maintenance costs. Its 138-litre fuel tank provides a massive cruising range for long trips between Abu Dhabi and Muscat, often outlasting American rivals like the Chevrolet Tahoe on a single fill. While rivals may offer more screen real estate, the Toyota leads in pure durability and the ability to hold its value over a decade of ownership.

Running Costs & Resale

The 4.6L V8 is a robust workhorse, typically returning between 14 and 16L/100km depending on your balance of city traffic and highway cruising. Maintenance is remarkably straightforward, with authorized service centers available in nearly every major city across the UAE and Saudi Arabia. This model enjoys one of the lowest depreciation rates in the world, often losing only 8-10% of its value annually, making it a safe haven for your capital.

Performance & Capability

The 304 hp V8 provides a smooth, linear power delivery that is perfectly suited for overtaking on fast-moving UAE highways. Off-road, the full-time all-wheel-drive system and low-range gearing allow it to navigate soft sand dunes with ease, a staple of weekend life in the region. With 225 mm of ground clearance and a 439 Nm torque rating, it handles desert terrain and heavy family loads without breaking a sweat.

Comfort & Cabin

Configured as a true 8-seater, the cabin is designed for large families who need to stay cool during 45°C summers. The air conditioning system is widely regarded as the best in its class, featuring dedicated rear vents that ensure every passenger stays comfortable. The GXR cabin features high-quality materials and acoustic glass that keeps the interior quiet, even at 140 km/h on the E11 highway.

Safety

Safety is managed through a comprehensive suite of eight airbags and advanced stability control systems designed to keep this large SUV poised on both sand and tarmac. It features front and rear parking sensors and a high-resolution rearview camera to make city maneuvering easier. The body-on-frame construction provides a level of passive safety and structural integrity that few modern monocoque SUVs can match.

The bottom line

This is the definitive choice for a GCC resident who wants the ultimate blend of V8 power, 8-seat practicality, and unmatched resale security.
