Summary

This 2021 Lexus ES350 F Sport is a compelling find in the GCC used market, offering a perfect balance of Japanese reliability and aggressive styling. While American-spec vehicles are common, the F Sport trim specifically adds the Adaptive Variable Suspension and larger 19-inch wheels that significantly sharpen the driving experience on UAE highways. The black-on-black color combination is a top performer for resale value across the region, maintaining high demand for its executive presence. With mileage just under the 100,000 km threshold, it remains a robust choice for someone seeking a refined daily commuter that handles the summer heat with ease. This model stands out for its exceptionally quiet cabin, providing a sanctuary during long inter-city drives between the Emirates.

This Car vs Other 2021 ES350s

With 98,000 km, this ES350 sits slightly above the average annual mileage for a three-year-old car in the UAE, which typically sees 20,000–25,000 km per year. However, as an American-spec car, it often offers a higher interior tech specification than some base GCC-spec models. The black exterior is a primary resale color in the Gulf, ensuring it remains highly liquid in the pre-owned market.

F SPORT vs Lower Trims

The F Sport trim transforms the ES350 from a soft cruiser into a focused driver's sedan by adding Adaptive Variable Suspension and a dedicated Sport+ drive mode. Unlike the base or Luxury trims, this version features 19-inch dark-finish wheels, sport-bolstered seats, and a perforated NuLuxe steering wheel. Critically for the GCC climate, it includes ventilated front seats as standard, a feature often optional on entry-level versions.

ES350 vs Segment Rivals

The Lexus ES350 leads the BMW 5-Series and Audi A6 in terms of long-term mechanical simplicity and maintenance costs in the region. Its naturally aspirated V6 provides smoother power delivery for highway cruising compared to the turbocharged four-cylinders found in many European rivals. The interior is specifically noted for having class-leading rear legroom, making it a superior choice for those who occasionally use a driver.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption averages around 9.1 L/100km combined, though GCC stop-start traffic may see this rise to 12.6 L/100km. Lexus maintains one of the strongest resale values in the UAE, typically depreciating only 8–12% annually, compared to 15-20% for European luxury brands. Authorized service via Al-Futtaim in the UAE and similarly strong networks in Saudi Arabia and Oman ensure parts are always readily available.

Performance & Capability

The 302 hp V6 engine enables a smooth 0–100 km/h sprint in approximately 6.9 seconds, providing plenty of thrust for merging onto fast-moving highways like E11. The F Sport's unique suspension tuning helps the car stay flat and composed during high-speed cornering without sacrificing the legendary Lexus ride quality. An 8-speed automatic transmission ensures that at cruising speeds, the engine remains at low RPM for maximum fuel efficiency and cabin silence.

Comfort & Cabin

Inside, the five-seat layout features F Sport-specific bolstered seats that provide excellent support during longer drives to Abu Dhabi or Al Ain. The dual-zone climate control is engineered for extreme temperatures, supported by rear cooling vents to keep all passengers comfortable during the peak of summer. The cabin insulation is industry-leading, effectively drowning out wind and tire noise even at high cruising speeds.

Safety

Standard safety includes the Lexus Safety System+ 2.0, featuring Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Tracing Assist, which are invaluable for reducing fatigue on long desert highway stretches. Blind Spot Monitoring and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert provide essential visibility in fast-moving urban traffic. The car is also equipped with 10 airbags and comprehensive stability control systems designed to maintain traction on sandy or dusty road surfaces.

The bottom line

For the GCC buyer who wants an aggressive-looking executive sedan without the high maintenance costs of European alternatives, this F Sport ES350 is a smart, high-value choice.
