Summary

This 2021 MG RX8 Luxury is a standout choice for families seeking a full-sized SUV with a high-feature count at a competitive price point. With its silver exterior and 70,905 km on the odometer, this vehicle has been used at an average pace for the GCC market and presents a strong case for resale stability in the region. The RX8 distinguishes itself from segment rivals by offering a proper body-on-frame construction, providing the durability needed for long highway drives and occasional desert weekends. For a buyer in the UAE or wider GCC, the key consideration here is the blend of executive-level tech like ventilated seats and 360-degree cameras with the utility of a genuine seven-seater. This specific listing represents a well-timed opportunity to own a modern, feature-packed SUV that handles the harsh local climate and multi-lane highway traffic with ease.

This Car vs Other 2021 MG RX8s

With approximately 70,900 km, this vehicle's mileage is exactly in line with typical GCC annual averages of 20,000–25,000 km, suggesting it has been used primarily for standard commuting and family duties. The silver exterior is one of the most practical choices for the region, as it reflects heat effectively during the peak summer months and remains a high-demand, low-depreciation color in the used market.

LUXURY vs Lower Trims

The Luxury trim significantly elevates the experience over the Standard and Comfort variants by adding 20-inch alloy wheels and a panoramic sunroof as standard. Inside, it introduces premium leather upholstery, a 360-degree camera system for easier parking, and essential GCC comfort features such as ventilated front seats which are absent on lower-tier models.

RX8 vs Segment Rivals

The MG RX8 competes directly with the Toyota Fortuner and Mitsubishi Montero Sport, leading its rivals in terms of standard technology and cabin screen size. While competitors often charge a premium for basic utility, the RX8 provides executive-level features and a more spacious third row, making it a preferred choice for larger families prioritizing interior tech and comfort.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption averages around 9.9 L/100km, which is competitive for a vehicle of this size during highway cruising across the Emirates. Servicing is straightforward with a 10,000 km or 6-month interval, and MG's authorized network is now firmly established across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Oman. While it may depreciate slightly faster than some Japanese counterparts, the lower initial purchase price often results in better overall value retention over a 3-year ownership period.

Performance & Capability

The 2.0L turbocharged engine delivers a verified 220 hp and 360 Nm of torque, providing plenty of power for confident overtaking on fast-moving highways like the E11. Its body-on-frame chassis and all-wheel-drive system are paired with selectable terrain modes, ensuring it remains capable whether you are navigating city traffic or exploring gravel trails on the weekend.

Comfort & Cabin

This seven-seater offers a versatile layout with a focus on cooling performance, featuring dedicated rear AC vents to keep all three rows comfortable in 45 degree heat. The cabin is highlighted by a 10.1-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, while the Luxury trim's acoustic glass helps maintain a quiet environment during long-distance travel.

Safety

Standard safety equipment on this Luxury trim includes a full suite of six airbags and a 360-degree camera for maximum visibility in tight spots. Essential driver aids such as Lane Departure Warning, Electronic Stability Control, and Hill Descent Control provide added confidence during high-speed highway runs and off-road excursions.

The bottom line

Perfect for a growing family that wants the presence and features of a luxury SUV without the premium price tag, this well-maintained GCC-spec RX8 is ready for immediate use across the region.
