Summary

This 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 LT Z71 is an exceptionally rare find in the GCC market given its remarkably low mileage of just 7,500 km. While most heavy-duty trucks in the region are high-mileage workhorses, this unit presents a unique opportunity to own a nearly-new 6.6L diesel powerhouse that has barely been broken in. The white exterior is a strategic choice for the UAE climate, offering the highest thermal efficiency and the strongest resale potential in the local market. For those needing massive towing capacity paired with a refined LT-trim cabin, this truck stands out as a superior alternative to the base work-spec models commonly seen on the road. The inclusion of the Z71 package ensures it is as capable on weekend desert excursions as it is on long-haul highway drives across the Emirates.

This Car vs Other 2022 Silverado 2500s

With only 7,500 km on the odometer, this Silverado is in a different league compared to the typical 2022 models in the GCC, which often exceed 50,000 km by this stage. This low usage represents a significant buying advantage, effectively offering a new-vehicle mechanical lifespan at a used-market entry point. The white finish is the most sought-after color for heavy-duty pickups in the region, ensuring it remains highly liquid and holds its value better than darker alternatives.

2500 CREW/CAB LT Z71 vs Lower Trims

The LT trim represents a major step up from the Work Truck and Custom levels, introducing a much more refined cabin with a larger 8-inch touchscreen and improved sound insulation. Most importantly, the Z71 package adds essential off-road hardware including specialized suspension tuning, underbody skid plates, and Hill Descent Control. This specific configuration provides the comfort of a daily driver while maintaining the heavy-duty mechanical cooling systems required for extreme GCC summer heat.

Silverado 2500 vs Segment Rivals

When compared to the Ford F-250 Super Duty and RAM 2500, the Silverado is often preferred for its intuitive trailering technology and the proven durability of the Duramax/Allison powertrain. It offers a larger standard fuel tank than many competitors, making it better suited for long-distance desert crossings or cross-border travel within the GCC. The Silverado's independent front suspension provides a smoother on-road ride than the solid-axle Ford, a benefit noticed immediately on the UAE's high-speed motorways.

Running Costs & Resale

The 6.6L Duramax diesel engine is highly efficient for its size, typically averaging 11.8 L/100km on the highway, which is a significant cost saving over gasoline V8 rivals for high-mileage users. Chevrolet maintains one of the most extensive authorized service networks across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, ensuring parts are readily available and affordable. In the GCC, a well-maintained white Silverado HD with low mileage follows a very stable depreciation curve, typically retaining more value than luxury SUVs in the same price bracket.

Performance & Capability

This truck is defined by its massive 1,233 Nm of torque, allowing it to tow up to 8,391 kg when properly equipped. The 6.6L V8 diesel engine is paired with the renowned Allison 10-speed automatic transmission, which provides seamless power delivery even when fully loaded. The four-wheel-drive system and Z71 off-road suspension ensure that despite its size, it can handle sand and gravel tracks with confidence, making it a favorite for outdoor enthusiasts in the region.

Comfort & Cabin

The Crew Cab configuration provides genuine five-passenger seating with segment-leading rear legroom, ideal for family road trips between Emirates. The LT trim features high-quality cloth upholstery and a powerful air conditioning system specifically designed to handle 50°C summer peaks. Additional storage cubbies and a quiet, insulated cabin make it a surprisingly refined place to spend time during long-distance highway cruises.

Safety

Standard safety features on this LT trim include StabiliTrak with Trailer Sway Control and Hill Start Assist, which are crucial for maintaining stability on high-speed motorways. The truck is also equipped with a high-definition Rear Vision Camera and Teen Driver technology, providing extra security in fast-moving Dubai or Riyadh traffic. Multiple airbags and a high-strength steel safety cage provide peace of mind for both work and family use.

The bottom line

This is the ideal opportunity for a buyer seeking a heavy-duty workhorse in 'showroom' condition; its combination of near-zero mileage, diesel efficiency, and Z71 capability makes it one of the most compelling Silverado listings currently available in the GCC.
