Summary

This 2022 Ford Bronco Wildtrak is a standout opportunity in the GCC market, combining the range-topping desert specification with a black-on-black color scheme that holds exceptional resale value locally. With mileage sitting comfortably around the average for a two-year-old vehicle in the UAE, it has been driven just enough to ensure mechanical health without the wear of heavy off-roading. The Wildtrak trim is the weapon of choice for GCC enthusiasts, standardizing the Sasquatch package which is essential for tackling the high dunes of Liwa or the rocky terrain of Hatta. Compared to rivals, the Bronco offers a more refined highway experience while remaining a true body-on-frame powerhouse. For a GCC buyer, the most important consideration is this car’s regional cooling and full-time 4WD system, built to handle the extreme 50°C summer heat without hesitation.

This Car vs Other 2022 Broncos

With 78,538 km, this Bronco sits right at the average for GCC-based vehicles of this age, where long highway commutes between emirates are the norm. The black exterior is one of the top three most requested colors in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, significantly strengthening its future resale position. Unlike many high-mileage units that have spent weekends in the deep sand, this example presents with the mechanical integrity desired by serious second-hand buyers.

Wildtrak vs Lower Trims

The Wildtrak is a significant leap over the Outer Banks, standardizing the heavy-duty Sasquatch Package which includes 35-inch mud-terrain tires and beadlock-capable wheels. It also introduces the advanced 4x4 system with automatic on-demand engagement and front and rear electronic locking differentials, hardware that requires expensive aftermarket intervention on lower trims. Inside, you benefit from the 12-inch SYNC 4 display and pre-wired auxiliary switches, making it ready for additional desert lighting.

Bronco vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the Jeep Wrangler, the Bronco Wildtrak offers superior high-speed stability on the Sheikh Zayed Road thanks to its independent front suspension. It also leads the segment in daily-use technology, featuring a more intuitive infotainment system and better cabin insulation from exterior heat. Against the Land Rover Defender, the Bronco provides a more rugged, mechanical feel that is easier and more cost-effective to service at specialized local centers.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 2.7L V6 averages around 12.8 L/100km in a combined GCC cycle, reflecting a mix of city traffic and highway cruising. As a GCC-spec vehicle, it benefits from Ford’s extensive authorized service network across the UAE, KSA, and Kuwait, ensuring parts availability isn't an issue. The Wildtrak trim historically retains approximately 75–80% of its value after three years in the local market, making it one of the most stable automotive assets in the 4x4 segment.

Performance & Capability

The 330 hp twin-turbo V6 delivers a massive 563 Nm of torque, enabling a 0-100 km/h sprint in approximately 6.7 seconds—a remarkable figure for a vehicle on 35-inch tires. The specialized HOSS suspension system with Bilstein dampers provides nearly 300 mm of ground clearance to clear aggressive obstacles easily. For the GCC driver, the 'Baja' mode within the G.O.A.T. system is the highlight, optimizing gear shifts and throttle response specifically for high-speed sand driving.

Comfort & Cabin

The 5-seat cabin is designed for the desert climate, featuring a powerful dual-zone air conditioning system that cools the interior rapidly even after hours in the sun. The Wildtrak includes marine-grade vinyl seating or leather-trimmed options that are resistant to sand and easy to clean after weekend adventures. Technology is anchored by the large center display and a premium audio system, ensuring long drives between cities are as comfortable as an executive sedan.

Safety

Standard safety on this trim includes the Ford Co-Pilot360 suite, providing blind-spot monitoring and cross-traffic alert which are essential for navigating busy multi-lane highways like the E11. It also features pre-collision assist with automatic emergency braking and a 360-degree camera system that is invaluable for both tight city parking and technical off-road maneuvering. The reinforced high-strength steel frame and advanced airbag system provide top-tier protection for all five occupants.

The bottom line

This Wildtrak is the perfect match for the enthusiast who wants the most capable factory Bronco without the premium price of a Raptor, offering a ready-to-bash desert icon in the region's best resale color.
