Summary

This 2022 Ford Bronco Wildtrak is a standout opportunity for GCC buyers, combining the range-topping Sasquatch off-road hardware with a practical four-door configuration. At four years old, its mileage reflects a vehicle used for long-distance highway travel across the Emirates, ensuring the twin-turbo V6 has been regularly exercised rather than idling in city traffic. The Wildtrak trim is specifically designed for technical desert driving, featuring front and rear locking differentials that are essential for the high dunes of Liwa. In the GCC market, the Blue exterior is a refreshing alternative to the standard monochrome fleet while maintaining strong appeal for lifestyle enthusiasts. For a local buyer, the combination of body-on-frame durability and a robust regional service network makes this a highly secure ownership proposition.

This Car vs Other 2022 Broncos

With mileage just under 100,000 km over four years, this Bronco sits slightly above the average for typical UAE passenger cars but remains well within the expected range for a purpose-built overland vehicle. In the GCC, high-speed highway commutes often lead to higher annual distances, which is generally better for the cooling and transmission health of these turbocharged engines than stop-start urban use. The Blue paintwork is a sought-after shade that balances personal style with the high resale standards of the regional market.

WILDTRAK vs Lower Trims

The Wildtrak serves as the high-speed desert specialist, standardizing the Sasquatch Package which adds 35-inch tires and high-clearance suspension that lower trims like the Outer Banks lack. It features the advanced 4x4 system with automatic on-demand engagement and position-sensitive Bilstein dampers, providing superior stability on washboard gravel tracks. Inside, you benefit from the larger 12-inch SYNC 4 touchscreen and high-performance audio that are often optional on mid-range trims.

Bronco vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the Jeep Wrangler, the Bronco offers a significantly more refined independent front suspension that tracks straighter on long UAE highways between Abu Dhabi and Dubai. While the Land Rover Defender emphasizes electronic air suspension, the Bronco's body-on-frame construction and mechanical lockers provide a more rugged, old-school durability preferred by desert enthusiasts. It leads the segment in open-air flexibility with its easily removable roof and doors, designed specifically to be stowed away for winter camping trips.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 2.7L V6 typically averages around 13.5 L/100km, though this can vary during heavy sand driving. Ford has one of the most established service networks in the GCC, with major authorized centers like Al Tayer in the UAE and Al Jazirah in Saudi Arabia ensuring parts are readily available. The Bronco has shown exceptional value retention in the local market, typically depreciating slower than European luxury SUVs due to its high enthusiast demand and specialized off-road hardware.

Performance & Capability

The 2.7L EcoBoost engine delivers 563 Nm of torque, allowing for effortless climbing in deep sand and a 0–100 km/h time of approximately 7 seconds. With 292 mm of maximum ground clearance and a dedicated 'Baja' mode within the G.O.A.T. (Goes Over Any Type of Terrain) system, it is engineered for high-speed desert runs. The 10-speed automatic transmission is tuned to handle the high ambient temperatures of the region, ensuring consistent power delivery even during the peak of summer.

Comfort & Cabin

The five-seat cabin is designed for the GCC climate with a powerful dual-zone air conditioning system and marine-grade upholstery that resists heat and sand. The interior features rubberized flooring with integrated drain plugs, making it easy to clean after a weekend at the beach or in the dunes. High-speed highway comfort is aided by acoustic insulation, while the digital cockpit keeps all vital off-road telemetry directly in the driver's line of sight.

Safety

This Wildtrak comes equipped with Ford’s full Co-Pilot360 suite, featuring Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) which is vital for multi-lane GCC highways. It also includes Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane-Keeping System, and a 360-degree camera that provides essential visibility when navigating narrow rocky wadis. Advanced stability control and roll stability systems provide additional security during high-speed desert maneuvers.

The bottom line

For the GCC buyer who needs a daily-drivable SUV that can conquer Liwa on the weekend, this Wildtrak is the definitive choice. It offers the most desirable factory off-road package in a regional specification, representing a turnkey solution for the serious adventurer.
