Summary

This specific Land Cruiser is an exceptional find for the GCC buyer who values a near-new driving experience without the initial depreciation hit of a showroom purchase. With its mileage sitting well below the average for a vehicle of its age in the region, it represents a pristine example of the latest generation of the world's most trusted SUV. The GXR trim strikes the perfect balance between high-end luxury and legendary utility, offering a sophisticated interior that remains rugged enough for desert adventures. Choosing the Brown exterior provides a distinctive and elegant alternative to the standard white or silver while still maintaining strong resale appeal in the local market. For those living in the GCC, this vehicle stands out because it is engineered specifically to thrive in our climate, from its cooling efficiency to its effortless highway cruising. It is a vehicle that commands respect on the road and offers unparalleled peace of mind for long-term ownership.

This Car vs Other 2022 Land Cruisers

When comparing this vehicle to other 2022 models currently available in the GCC, the most striking advantage is the odometer reading. In a region where a typical SUV of this caliber covers 20,000 to 25,000 km annually, this unit has been driven significantly less than the average, indicating it has spent most of its life in protected conditions. The 2022 model year was the debut of the 300-series, and finding one with such low mileage ensures the mechanical components are still in their prime. The Brown exterior color is a sophisticated choice that resists the dulling effects of desert dust better than darker shades, while still offering a premium aesthetic that stands out in a sea of monochrome cars. Most 2022 examples on the market have already seen heavy family or desert use, but this particular listing retains the tightness and fresh feel of a much newer vehicle. Buying a GCC-spec example like this one ensures that the air conditioning and radiator systems are optimized for the extreme summer heat we experience across the UAE and Saudi Arabia.

GXR vs Lower Trims

Stepping up to the GXR trim from the base levels introduces a suite of features that are highly coveted by buyers in the GCC. While lower trims focus on pure utility, the GXR adds essential luxury touches such as upgraded interior materials and advanced infotainment options that make daily commuting significantly more comfortable. You receive enhanced exterior styling cues, including more premium wheel designs and lighting signatures that distinguish the vehicle on the road. Inside, the climate control system is more robust, often featuring multi-zone settings that are vital for keeping all seven passengers cool during the height of July. The GXR also typically includes better sound insulation, which is immediately noticeable when cruising at 120 km/h on the highway. This trim is widely considered the 'sweet spot' for resale value in the Emirates, as it offers the premium look and feel that second-hand buyers are willing to pay a premium for.

Land Cruiser vs Segment Rivals

In the GCC, the Land Cruiser is frequently cross-shoped with the Nissan Patrol and the Land Rover Defender. While the Patrol offers a very soft ride, the Land Cruiser leads with its legendary durability and a much slower depreciation rate, making it a smarter financial move over a five-year period. Compared to the Defender, the Land Cruiser offers a more extensive service network that spans every corner of the GCC, from the remote reaches of the Empty Quarter to the centers of Riyadh and Dubai. This model also provides a more intuitive interior layout that focuses on long-term reliability of electronics, a known priority for regional owners. Its cooling system is widely regarded as the best in the segment, capable of dropping cabin temperatures rapidly even after the car has been parked in direct sunlight. Furthermore, the 7-seat configuration is more spacious for adult passengers in the third row than many European competitors, making it the definitive choice for large families.

Running Costs & Resale

Owning a Land Cruiser in the GCC is synonymous with low-stress maintenance and high value retention. The 4.0L V6 engine is a workhorse known for its longevity, and because it is a staple of the region, parts are available at almost every hardware and auto shop across the Middle East. Service intervals are standardized, and the authorized service network is the most comprehensive of any brand in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, ensuring you are never far from expert care. Fuel consumption is predictable for a large SUV, and the vehicle is designed to run efficiently on the petrol grades commonly found at any regional station. Historically, the Land Cruiser holds its value better than almost any other vehicle on the planet, typically losing only 8-10% of its value annually compared to the 15-20% seen in European luxury SUVs. After three years of ownership, you can expect this vehicle to command a significant percentage of its original price, making it one of the safest automotive investments available.

Performance & Capability

Under the hood is a refined 6-cylinder engine producing 271 hp, delivered through a smooth automatic transmission that is tuned for both city efficiency and off-road torque. The 0-100 km/h performance is impressive for a vehicle of this size, but where it truly shines is in its highway overtaking ability and its poise on sand. This is a genuine off-road rated machine, equipped with a proper low-range transfer case and an advanced All Wheel Drive system that can tackle the tallest dunes in Liwa or the rocky wadis of Oman with ease. The ground clearance is class-leading, allowing you to navigate obstacles without fear of underbody damage. On the road, the new 300-series platform offers a much more composed and car-like handling experience than its predecessors, reducing driver fatigue on long cross-border drives. Whether you are towing a boat to the coast or taking the family for a weekend of desert camping, the performance is effortless and dependable.

Comfort & Cabin

The interior of this 7-seater SUV is designed as a sanctuary from the harsh outdoor environment. The GXR trim ensures that the cabin is wrapped in high-quality materials that are built to withstand the rigors of family life and the intense GCC sun. The air conditioning system is legendary, featuring powerful vents that reach all three rows to ensure every passenger remains comfortable even in 50-degree weather. Cabin insulation has been significantly improved in this generation, resulting in a whisper-quiet ride that allows for easy conversation even at highway speeds. The seating configuration is highly flexible, with a third row that can be easily stowed to create a massive cargo area for luggage or camping gear. Modern tech features and a premium audio system provide the entertainment needed for long trips between cities, while the ergonomics of the driver’s seat ensure a commanding view of the road and easy access to all vital controls.

Safety

Safety is a paramount feature of the 2022 Land Cruiser, which boasts a 5-Star NCAP safety rating. It is equipped with a comprehensive suite of active safety systems, including stability control and advanced braking assists that are crucial when driving on unpredictable surfaces like sand or gravel. The All Wheel Drive system provides constant traction, which is a significant safety benefit during the rare but heavy rainstorms seen in the UAE. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alerts are standard on this trim, providing essential help on the busy, multi-lane highways of Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Multiple airbags protect all occupants across all three rows, and the reinforced chassis of the 300-series offers superior crash protection compared to previous generations. This vehicle is designed not just to take you anywhere, but to bring you back safely every single time.

The bottom line

This low-mileage, GCC-spec GXR is the perfect opportunity for a family or adventurer looking for the gold standard of SUVs with a unique aesthetic. It offers the best resale value in the market and remains the most reliable companion for life in the Middle East.
