Summary

This 2023 Citroen C5 Aircross FEEL is a standout choice for GCC families prioritizing ride quality and unique French styling. With its mileage sitting around the regional average for a two-year-old vehicle, it remains a fresh alternative to more common Japanese rivals. The FEEL trim strikes a perfect balance, offering essential tech like a digital cockpit and smartphone integration without the steep price tag of the top specs. Its silver exterior is a top-tier choice for the UAE climate, reflecting heat effectively and ensuring strong resale value. For the buyer who wants a comfortable, road-biased SUV that stands out in Dubai or Riyadh traffic, this is a compelling opportunity.

This Car vs Other 2023 C5 Aircrosses

At 84,000 km, this vehicle has been used as a primary commuter, aligning with the typical high-mileage highway driving patterns seen across the UAE and Saudi Arabia. The silver exterior is a strategic advantage in the GCC used market, consistently ranking as one of the most liquid colors for resale. Compared to listings with lower mileage, this car offers a more accessible entry point into a nearly-new model year with the updated 2023 styling.

FEEL vs Lower Trims

The FEEL trim significantly upgrades the cabin experience over the base LIVE variant, most notably adding the 12.3-inch customizable digital instrument cluster and a larger 8-inch touchscreen. It also introduces 18-inch bi-tone alloy wheels and front parking sensors, which are highly valued for navigating tight city parking in major GCC hubs. These additions make the FEEL the 'sweet spot' for regional buyers who want modern tech at a sensible price.

C5 Aircross vs Segment Rivals

The C5 Aircross distinguishes itself from rivals like the Kia Sportage and Toyota RAV4 through its Progressive Hydraulic Cushions suspension, offering a 'magic carpet' ride that is unmatched in this price bracket. While competitors often focus on sporty handling, the Citroen prioritizes long-distance comfort for cross-emirate trips. It also leads much of the segment in cargo flexibility with three individual, sliding, and reclining rear seats.

Running Costs & Resale

With a 1.6-litre turbocharged engine, this SUV delivers an efficient 6.8 L/100km, making it ideal for both stop-start city traffic and long desert highway hauls. Authorized service centers are well-established in the UAE and major KSA cities, typically recommending 10,000 km service intervals for this powertrain. While European SUVs face steeper initial depreciation than Japanese counterparts, the 2023 model's refreshed look helps it retain value better than pre-facelift versions in the secondary market.

Performance & Capability

The 1.6L Turbo engine produces 165 hp and 240 Nm of torque, providing smooth power delivery for confident highway overtaking. The 6-speed automatic transmission is tuned for refinement rather than aggressive shifts, perfectly complementing the comfort-first chassis. While it is a front-wheel-drive SUV meant for the road, its 230 mm ground clearance is surprisingly high, making it more than capable of handling gravel tracks and sandy patches during weekend getaways.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin features Citroen's Advanced Comfort seats, which use high-density foam to reduce fatigue on long drives. Dual-zone climate control with rear vents is standard, ensuring the interior remains cool even during the peak GCC summer. The unique rear seating layout consists of three independent full-size seats, allowing three adults to sit comfortably or providing the flexibility to slide seats forward to expand the already impressive 580-litre boot.

Safety

Standard safety features on the FEEL trim include six airbags, Electronic Stability Control, and Hill Start Assist. It also features helpful ADAS technology for the region, such as Blind Spot Monitoring for multi-lane highway safety and a 180-degree reversing camera with top-view to assist in urban environments. The vehicle was designed with a strong focus on occupant protection, carrying a competitive safety pedigree from its European testing.

The bottom line

For the GCC buyer who values a plush, relaxing ride and French design flair over a generic crossover, this 2023 FEEL trim represents a modern, tech-forward opportunity in a heat-friendly color.
