• 612 litres boot space (seats up)
• Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 standard

Summary

This three-year-old RX350 represents the first model year of the redesigned fifth generation, offering a massive leap in cabin technology and refinement over its predecessors. With just 26,000 km on the clock, this SUV has been driven significantly less than the typical 20,000–25,000 km annual GCC average, effectively preserved in near-new mechanical health. The Black exterior is a high-demand choice in the UAE, ensuring it remains one of the easiest colors to trade or sell in the local market. For those seeking the reliability of the RX platform with the improved low-end torque of the new 2.4L turbo engine, this All-Wheel Drive crossover is a highly strategic buy for both daily city commutes and weekend highway travel across the Emirates.

This Car vs Other 2023 RX350s

While many 2023 models in the GCC are now approaching the 60,000 km mark, this Canadian-spec example sits at an exceptionally low 26,000 km. This represents a significant advantage in mechanical longevity and wear, though buyers should note that Canadian specs require a brief inspection to ensure local RTA compliance. The Black paint remains a top-tier resale asset in the Gulf, consistently holding higher value than non-traditional shades.

PRESTIGE vs Lower Trims

The Prestige trim serves as a well-appointed entry into the new generation, offering the essential Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 and the refined NuLuxe interior standard. It provides the same 275 hp turbocharged powertrain as the higher F Sport and Luxury trims, ensuring identical mechanical performance without the premium cost of 21-inch wheels or adaptive suspension. This trim is favored by GCC buyers who prioritize Lexus reliability and cabin quietness over complex electronic add-ons.

RX350 vs Segment Rivals

The RX350 leads rivals like the BMW X5 and Mercedes-Benz GLE in long-term reliability and lower maintenance costs within the GCC. Its 2.4L turbocharged engine is specifically tuned for smooth, linear power delivery, making it less temperamental in extreme heat compared to more highly-strung European powerplants. Furthermore, the Lexus infotainment interface is significantly more intuitive for daily use than the complex systems found in many segment competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

Lexus enjoys some of the highest value retention rates in the UAE, typically losing only 8-10% annually compared to 15%+ for European luxury SUVs. The 2.4L turbo engine offers a combined fuel rating of approximately 9.9 L/100km, though expect slightly higher consumption in stop-start Dubai or Riyadh traffic. Authorized Lexus service centers are available across all seven Emirates and the wider GCC, ensuring parts are always accessible for this Canadian-spec vehicle.

Performance & Capability

The 275 hp turbocharged engine delivers 317 lb-ft of torque, providing a peppy feel during highway overtaking that surpasses the older V6 models. With a manufacturer-claimed 0-100 km/h time of 7.4 seconds and a top speed of 200 km/h, it is perfectly suited for the fast-paced multi-lane highways of the UAE. The All-Wheel Drive system provides added stability during the occasional winter rain or when traversing gravel paths to desert campsites.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a sanctuary of quiet, utilizing Active Noise Control to filter out road roar during long drives between cities. While this Canadian-spec Prestige trim features high-quality NuLuxe synthetic leather, it retains the legendary Lexus air conditioning performance, essential for maintaining comfort when temperatures exceed 45°C. The 612-litre boot provides ample space for family airport runs or grocery trips, and the 40/20/40 split rear seats offer versatile loading options.

Safety

Safety is headlined by the Lexus Safety System+ 3.0, which includes Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, and All-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control. The addition of Safe Exit Assist and Blind Spot Monitoring is particularly valuable for navigating the heavy, fast-moving traffic on the E11. This trim also features eight airbags and a reinforced chassis designed to meet stringent global crash safety standards.

The bottom line

This is a rare opportunity to own a low-mileage, fifth-generation RX350 that bridges the gap between value and modern luxury. It is the ideal choice for a GCC buyer who wants the latest tech and design without the steep depreciation of a brand-new showroom model.
