Summary

This 2023 Rolls Royce Cullinan Black Badge represents the absolute peak of the ultra-luxury SUV market, offering a more aggressive and potent alternative to the standard model. With only 13,000 km on the odometer, this three-year-old vehicle is exceptionally low-mileage for the GCC, where annual averages typically reach 20,000 km. The Black exterior is the premier choice for resale strength in this region, ensuring this remains a liquid asset for its next owner. As a Black Badge edition, it commands a significant presence and technical superiority that rivals like the Bentley Bentayga cannot replicate. For a buyer in the UAE or wider GCC, this European-spec example offers a rare opportunity to secure a near-new flagship without the typical bespoke waitlists.

This Car vs Other 2023 Cullinans

At just 13,000 km, this Cullinan has covered less than a quarter of the mileage expected for a three-year-old vehicle in the GCC. The European regional specification ensures a high level of luxury equipment, while the Black-on-Black configuration remains the most sought-after color combination for high-value retention in the local secondary market.

Black Badge vs Lower Trims

The Black Badge trim is the high-performance 'alter ego' of the standard Cullinan, increasing the V12 output to 600 hp and adding 50 Nm of torque. It adds essential GCC-premium features including the darkened Spirit of Ecstasy, technical carbon fiber interior trim, and a sport-tuned exhaust system that provides a more visceral presence during highway driving.

Cullinan vs Segment Rivals

While rivals like the Bentley Bentayga and Lamborghini Urus focus on sportiness, the Cullinan leads the segment in absolute cabin silence and the signature 'Magic Carpet Ride' air suspension. Its 90-litre fuel tank is specifically suited for long-distance cruising between emirates, offering greater range than more track-focused competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

The Black Badge is the most resilient variant in the GCC used market, typically retaining a higher percentage of its value at the three-year mark compared to base models. Real-world fuel consumption averages 16.3 L/100km combined, which is expected for a hand-built V12 of this stature. Authorized service centers are readily available across major GCC hubs including Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Riyadh, and Doha.

Performance & Capability

The 600 hp V12 engine delivers effortless acceleration, reaching 100 km/h in just 5.2 seconds despite the vehicle's substantial presence. The Four-Wheel Drive system and bespoke Black Badge suspension tuning allow for confident handling on fast-moving UAE highways while maintaining total composure. A 'Low' mode on the gear selector sharpens the 8-speed transmission shifts for a more engaging drive.

Comfort & Cabin

The five-seat cabin is a sanctuary of hand-stitched leather and acoustic glass, designed to insulate passengers from the intense 45°C+ summer heat of the GCC. Standard ventilated seats and a high-capacity climate control system ensure rapid cabin cooling even in peak afternoon sun. The signature Starlight Headliner and rear-hinged coach doors provide a sense of occasion unmatched by any other SUV.

Safety

This Cullinan is equipped with a comprehensive ADAS suite, including Night Vision with pedestrian detection, which is invaluable for unlit desert highway stretches. The 360-degree camera system and active cruise control make navigating dense city traffic in Riyadh or Dubai effortless, while the heavy-duty air suspension provides unmatched stability at high cruising speeds.

The bottom line

This is a rare opportunity to own a low-mileage Black Badge in the GCC’s most desirable colorway, offering a significant saving over a new commission without sacrificing the new-car experience.
