Summary

This 2024 Black Badge offers a distinctive presence with its dark aesthetic and enhanced output over the standard model, making it a highly sought-after spec in the UAE market. With just over 20,000 km, this example presents a significant buying advantage for those looking to skip the build-to-order waitlists at local showrooms. The Black Badge series is widely regarded as the ultimate expression of the nameplate, maintaining its position as the premier luxury SUV for long-distance cruising between the Emirates. Black is the premier resale color for this model in the GCC, ensuring strong value retention for the next owner.

This Car vs Other 2024 Cullinans

At approximately 20,800 km, this car aligns perfectly with typical annual usage for a high-end daily driver in the GCC. While average mileage for luxury SUVs in the region often reaches 25,000 km per year due to frequent Abu Dhabi-Dubai commutes, this unit remains below that threshold. The all-black exterior is the most desirable configuration in the local market, offering the best possible liquidly for future resale.

Black Badge vs Lower Trims

The Black Badge is not just a styling package; it increases power from the standard 563 hp to a formidable 591 hp and unlocks 900 Nm of torque. It adds unique 'Technical Carbon' interior veneers and darker exterior chrome, alongside a specifically tuned drivetrain for a more engaging feel. Standard Black Badge units also include the Starlight Headliner and bespoke 22-inch forged wheels that are highly prized by GCC buyers.

Cullinan vs Segment Rivals

While rivals like the Bentley Bentayga and Range Rover SV offer immense luxury, the Rolls-Royce leads with its signature 'Magic Carpet Ride' air suspension, designed to isolate the cabin even on varied terrain. The Cullinan offers a larger 100-litre fuel tank, providing superior range for cross-border journeys to Oman or Saudi Arabia. Its hand-built V12 engine remains the segment benchmark for refinement and effortless highway overtaking.

Running Costs & Resale

Expect a combined fuel consumption of roughly 16.7 L/100km, which reflects the heavy cooling demands of the GCC climate and stop-start traffic in major cities. Maintenance is strictly scheduled annually or every 15,000 km at authorized GCC service centers, ensuring the specialized air suspension and twin-turbo systems remain optimal. As a GCC spec vehicle, it benefits from excellent resale potential, typically losing only 15-20% in its first year, significantly outperforming mass-market luxury rivals.

Performance & Capability

The 6.75L V12 delivers a 0–100 km/h sprint in just 5.2 seconds, a remarkable feat for a vehicle weighing over 2.7 tonnes. The intelligent all-wheel-drive system and four-wheel steering make it surprisingly agile in urban environments while maintaining stability at high highway speeds. Its self-levelling air suspension adjusts continuously to road conditions, ensuring maximum comfort during long-distance desert road trips.

Comfort & Cabin

The five-seat cabin is designed as a sanctuary from the UAE heat, featuring high-capacity air conditioning and thick acoustic glass to maintain a near-silent environment. Ventilated front and rear seats are standard, providing essential comfort during peak summer months. The interior is finished in premium leather with hand-polished carbon fiber, creating a contemporary atmosphere that complements the Black Badge’s rebellious character.

Safety

This trim includes a comprehensive ADAS suite featuring night vision with pedestrian recognition, a 360-degree camera system for tight parking in Dubai malls, and adaptive cruise control for long desert highway stretches. Standard active safety systems include lane departure warning and emergency braking, providing a secure environment for all five passengers. The high-strength aluminum spaceframe architecture offers exceptional passive protection, a hallmark of the Rolls-Royce platform.

The bottom line

This GCC-spec 2024 Black Badge is an ideal choice for the executive buyer looking for the most prestigious SUV currently available with a market-leading color and mileage profile.
