Summary

This 7-year-old Rolls-Royce Ghost SWB represents an extraordinary find in the GCC market, having covered just 908 km since new—mileage so low it effectively presents as a time-capsule vehicle. While its European specification requires consideration for long-term local warranty support, the Silver exterior is a premier resale color in the UAE, ensuring strong liquidity when it comes time to trade. As a Series II model, it offers the perfect balance of iconic silhouette and modernized cabin technology, standing as a more agile alternative to the Extended Wheelbase for those who prefer the driver's seat. For a collector or executive, this is a rare opportunity to acquire a nearly-new V12 masterpiece that has already bypassed the steepest period of initial depreciation.

This Car vs Other 2019 Ghosts

With only 908 km on the odometer, this vehicle has covered significantly less ground than the 140,000 km typically expected of a 7-year-old car in the GCC. While most regional examples show the wear of high-speed highway commuting between Emirates, this unit’s condition remains virtually untouched. The Silver finish is not only timeless but highly practical for the local climate, reflecting heat more efficiently than darker hues while maintaining peak resale demand.

SWB vs Lower Trims

As the Standard Wheelbase (SWB) trim, this car is designed for a more engaging driving experience than the EWB, featuring a slightly sharper turning circle and better handling dynamics. This trim includes the essential Series II upgrades standard, such as the LED headlamp suites and the satellite-aided transmission which uses GPS data to pre-select gears for the terrain ahead. It also retains the iconic coach doors with integrated Teflon-coated umbrellas, a feature highly valued by luxury buyers in the region.

Ghost vs Segment Rivals

The Ghost leads segment rivals like the Bentley Flying Spur and Mercedes-Maybach S-Class in terms of pure cabin serenity and brand prestige. Its 82-liter fuel tank is specifically engineered for effortless long-distance travel between GCC capitals like Dubai and Riyadh, ensuring fewer stops on cross-border journeys. The hand-built V12 provides a level of low-end torque and 'waftability' that turbocharged V8 competitors struggle to replicate.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for this V12 powertrain typically averages around 15.8 L/100km in mixed GCC conditions, though heavy stop-start traffic in cities like Dubai will increase this figure. Maintenance is supported by an extensive authorized service network across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, with recommended intervals every 12,000 km or 12 months. As a European spec import, it may not carry a local manufacturer warranty, which is reflected in its competitive positioning against GCC-spec equivalents.

Performance & Capability

The 563 hp twin-turbo V12 enables a 0–100 km/h sprint in just 4.9 seconds, a remarkable figure for a car of this substantial mass. On the wide, fast-moving highways of the UAE, the Ghost offers effortless overtaking power and a top speed electronically limited to 250 km/h. The All Wheel Drive system ensures composed handling even during the region's occasional heavy rain or on the gravel-dusted roads near mountain escapes like Jebel Jais.

Comfort & Cabin

The four-seat configuration features individual rear lounge seating with multi-zone climate control, essential for maintaining cabin comfort during 45°C+ summers. The interior is insulated with over 100kg of sound-deadening material, providing a sanctuary from the noise of GCC city traffic. The 18-speaker bespoke audio system is tuned specifically for this cabin's acoustics, ensuring studio-quality sound even at high cruising speeds.

Safety

This Ghost comes equipped with a comprehensive suite of active safety technologies, including Night Vision with pedestrian recognition, which is invaluable for unlit desert highway stretches. Standard features include adaptive cruise control for long-distance hauls and a 360-degree camera system to assist in navigating tight urban parking. Multiple airbags and advanced stability control provide a robust safety net for both driver and passengers.

The bottom line

For the buyer who demands a showroom-condition Rolls-Royce without the new-car price tag, this ultra-low mileage European spec Ghost is the definitive choice for local executive use.
