Tesla Model Y PERFORMANCE MODEL // GCC SPECS // LOW KILOMETERS

Highlights

• 0–100 km/h in 3.7 seconds
• 514 km electric range (WLTP)
• 250 kW peak DC charging

Summary

This 2023 Performance trim offers the highest acceleration and top speed available for the model, making it a standout choice for those who prioritize driving dynamics. With only 7,000 km on the odometer, this vehicle has covered significantly less distance than the typical 20,000–25,000 km expected for a car of this age in the UAE. The Blue metallic finish is a respected choice in the GCC, offering a vibrant alternative to monochrome tones while maintaining solid resale appeal. This specific listing is particularly attractive as it provides the performance and tech of a current-year model with the benefit of the initial depreciation curve already behind it. For a GCC buyer, the most important consideration is the access to Tesla's localized Supercharger network, which makes inter-emirate travel effortless.

This Car vs Other 2023 Model Ys

At 7,000 km, this vehicle is in the lowest mileage bracket for its year in the GCC market, where highway-heavy commutes often result in much higher annual usage. This low mileage suggests minimal wear on the battery and tires, which are key cost factors for high-output EVs. The Blue exterior is a premium color choice that stands out in a market dominated by white and silver, yet remains conservative enough to ensure strong secondary market demand.

PERFORMANCE vs Lower Trims

The Performance trim is the top-tier specification, adding 21-inch Überturbine wheels, uprated performance brakes, and a lowered suspension for sharper handling. Inside, it features aluminum alloy pedals and a carbon fiber spoiler on the tailgate to distinguish it from the Long Range and RWD variants. Critically for the GCC, it includes the full premium interior package with immersive audio and heated seats throughout as standard.

Model Y vs Segment Rivals

When compared to rivals like the Ford Mustang Mach-E or the Audi Q4 e-tron, the Tesla leads significantly in charging infrastructure and software integration. Its 0–100 km/h time of 3.7 seconds outpaces almost everything in the electric compact SUV segment. Additionally, the dual-motor All-Wheel Drive system provides superior traction on the sandy or dusty surfaces often encountered on secondary GCC roads.

Running Costs & Resale

Running costs are exceptionally low compared to petrol SUVs, with real-world energy consumption averaging approximately 18 kWh/100km in mixed GCC conditions. Tesla has an established service presence in the UAE (Dubai and Abu Dhabi) and expanding coverage in Saudi Arabia, with most diagnostic work handled via remote software updates. While luxury EVs generally see higher initial depreciation than Japanese petrol equivalents, the Model Y holds its value better than most European electric rivals due to high local demand.

Performance & Capability

The 534 hp output delivered through two electric motors provides instant torque, which is ideal for quick overtakes on fast-moving highways like the E11. With a top speed of 250 km/h and a dedicated Track Mode, it offers a level of engagement rarely found in a family-oriented crossover. The low center of gravity from the floor-mounted battery ensures the car feels planted during high-speed cornering, a common requirement for UAE highway driving.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed for the high-temperature GCC climate, featuring a powerful HVAC system that can be pre-conditioned via the mobile app before you even enter the vehicle. It seats five comfortably with a minimalist aesthetic, dominated by a 15-inch central touchscreen that controls all vehicle functions. The car offers a massive 854 liters of boot space with the seats up, plus a useful 'frunk' for storing charging cables away from the main luggage area.

Safety

Standard safety features include the full Autopilot suite with emergency braking, collision warning, and blind-spot monitoring, which are essential for navigating the high-speed, multi-lane traffic common in major GCC cities. The Model Y achieved a 5-star Euro NCAP rating, and its rigid body structure and low rollover risk make it one of the safest SUVs available. For desert-adjacent driving, the electronic stability control is expertly tuned to manage sudden changes in surface grip.

The bottom line

For the buyer who wants the fastest, most technologically advanced version of the world’s best-selling EV, this low-mileage GCC-spec Performance trim is the definitive choice. It offers a near-new ownership experience at a significantly more accessible price point than a showroom-fresh delivery.
