Summary

This 2023 Toyota Land Cruiser VXR is a standout example of the LC300 generation, offering the perfect balance of low mileage and high-spec luxury for the GCC market. With just under 20,000 km, this vehicle has significantly lower usage than the 60,000+ km typical for a 3-year-old SUV in the region. The black exterior is a premier resale choice in the UAE, while the VXR trim provides the essential ventilated seating and advanced suspension needed for total comfort in extreme desert heat. As the region's most trusted name in durability, this Land Cruiser offers a level of mechanical peace of mind that rivals simply cannot match. Whether you are navigating stop-start city traffic in Dubai or long highway stretches across the emirates, this VXR delivers a refined, powerful experience.

This Car vs Other 2023 Land Cruisers

With only 19,860 km on the odometer, this vehicle sits well below the GCC average for 3-year-old SUVs, which typically accrue 20,000 to 25,000 km annually. This lower-than-average mileage translates to less wear on the twin-turbo powertrain and a fresher interior compared to other listings from the same model year. The black exterior is among the top three most desirable colors for resale in the local market, ensuring it holds its value exceptionally well compared to niche or brighter shades.

VXR vs Lower Trims

The VXR trim is a significant step up from the GXR, adding the Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS) which provides a noticeably smoother ride on both pavement and sand. Inside, you get premium leather seating with ventilation for both the front and second rows—a critical feature for the GCC climate—alongside a 12.3-inch multimedia display and a 360-degree panoramic view monitor. It also includes the full Toyota Safety Sense suite and a premium JBL audio system that are often absent on base and mid-range configurations.

Land Cruiser vs Segment Rivals

While cross-shopped with the Nissan Patrol and the Land Rover Defender, the Land Cruiser leads with its massive 110-litre fuel tank, providing superior range for long-distance highway drives between GCC cities. Its body-on-frame construction offers a level of rugged durability that road-biased luxury crossovers cannot replicate, particularly during weekend desert excursions. Additionally, the sheer density of the Toyota service network in the UAE and Saudi Arabia gives it a distinct maintenance advantage over European competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 3.5L twin-turbo V6 averages approximately 10.7 L/100km, offering a more efficient alternative to the older V8 engines while maintaining high performance. As a GCC-spec vehicle, it benefits from a wide network of authorized service centers across the UAE, Oman, and Saudi Arabia, with standard service intervals every 10,000 km. The Land Cruiser remains a benchmark for value retention in the region, typically losing only 8-10% annually, which is significantly lower than the depreciation rates seen in the luxury SUV segment.

Performance & Capability

The twin-turbo engine produces a robust 409 hp and 650 Nm of torque, enabling effortless highway overtaking and reliable power delivery in deep sand. It features a full-time all-wheel-drive system paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and a locking center differential for serious off-road capability. With Crawl Control and Multi-Terrain Select as standard, this VXR is engineered to handle everything from the soft dunes of the Liwa Desert to high-speed trans-emirate highway commutes with total composure.

Comfort & Cabin

The seven-seat cabin is designed for the GCC’s harsh summers, featuring a powerful four-zone climate control system with dedicated rear vents to keep all passengers cool. Premium leather upholstery and wood-grain accents provide an executive feel, while the ventilated front and second-row seats are a necessity for local ownership. The cabin is well-insulated from exterior road noise and desert heat, ensuring a quiet environment for family road trips or daily city commutes.

Safety

This VXR is equipped with a comprehensive safety suite including 10 airbags and Toyota Safety Sense, which features Dynamic Radar Cruise Control and Lane Trace Assist for safer highway driving. Blind Spot Monitoring and Rear Cross Traffic Alert provide essential assistance in fast-moving multi-lane traffic, while the 360-degree camera makes parking this large SUV in tight city spaces simple. These active systems work alongside stability control and an emergency call system to provide one of the safest platforms in the segment.

The bottom line

This is the ideal opportunity for a GCC buyer seeking a near-new Land Cruiser VXR with low mileage and a high-demand color, offering the perfect blend of luxury and legendary reliability.
