• 130-litre fuel tank standard
• Extensive GCC authorised service network

Summary

This 2023 Land Cruiser 70 is a rare find, combining the legendary reliability of the 70-series chassis with the modern 409 hp twin-turbo powertrain. With only 15,000 km, this low-mileage example is barely broken in and offers a significant head start over the typical high-use utility vehicles found in the region. The white exterior remains the gold standard for heat reflection and resale value in the GCC, making it a safe long-term investment. As the VXR trim, it bridges the gap between raw off-road utility and modern cabin tech, providing a more civilized experience for daily use. For the buyer who demands a vehicle that will never quit but wants modern overtaking power, this specific LC76 is the ideal choice.

This Car vs Other 2023 Land Cruiser 70s

At just 15,000 km, this vehicle's mileage is significantly below the GCC average for a year-old SUV, which typically sees 20,000 to 25,000 km. Most 70-series models in the market have been used as heavy-duty workhorses; however, this example's condition reflects light personal use. The classic white exterior ensures it holds the highest possible demand in the local used market.

LC76 HT VXR vs Lower Trims

The VXR trim elevates the 70-series from a basic utility tool to a premium explorer by adding essential GCC comforts. While lower trims like the DX or LX focus on pure minimalism, the VXR provides an upgraded infotainment screen, a rearview camera, and a more refined interior finish. It also retains the heavy-duty differential locks and high-output engine that are often optional or downgraded in base variants.

Land Cruiser 70 vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the Nissan Patrol Super Safari, the Land Cruiser 70 offers a more modern powertrain and a vastly more extensive parts network across the entire GCC. While the Jeep Wrangler provides more on-road tech, it cannot match the LC70's 130-litre fuel range or its legendary ability to withstand extreme desert heat over decades of use. The Toyota remains the undisputed choice for remote travel where mechanical failure is not an option.

Running Costs & Resale

The Land Cruiser 70 series historically experiences some of the lowest depreciation rates in the Middle East, often retaining over 85% of its value after three years. Service intervals are typically every 5,000 to 10,000 km, supported by the most comprehensive authorized service network in the region. Parts are readily available in every major city from Muscat to Riyadh, ensuring long-term maintenance remains affordable and straightforward.

Performance & Capability

The heart of this LC76 is the 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6, producing a massive 409 hp that transforms the vehicle's highway manners and sand-dune climbing ability. Its body-on-frame construction and selectable four-wheel-drive system with low-range gearing are designed for the toughest terrains in the GCC. With a high-capacity 130-litre fuel tank, it is purpose-built for long-range expeditions across the Empty Quarter without the need for frequent refueling stops.

Comfort & Cabin

Inside, the five-seat layout offers a surprisingly practical environment with the VXR-specific air conditioning system designed to cool the cabin rapidly even in 50°C summer heat. The upright glass house provides exceptional visibility for off-road spotting, while the inclusion of a modern touchscreen and Bluetooth connectivity brings daily-driver convenience to a classic design. Rear passengers benefit from dedicated cooling vents, a vital feature for family trips between Emirates.

Safety

This trim includes standard safety essentials tailored for both rugged trails and fast-moving GCC highways. It features an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), and dual front airbags to protect occupants. A rearview camera and tire pressure monitoring system come standard on the VXR, providing peace of mind during both technical off-road maneuvers and long-distance desert drives.

The bottom line

For the enthusiast who wants the timeless durability of a 70-series with the modern performance of a 300-series engine, this low-mileage VXR is an unbeatable opportunity in the current market.
